How do you activate the Kill animation of Tombstone Myers?
I played my first Tombstone Myers match last night but could only kill one Survivor by hand.
The first time I hit Tier III, I chased a Meg thinking it would activate when I got close to her but it didn't.
Then I got tier III again and Killed another Meg who had just missed a generator repair skill check. When her character backed off the gen due to the explosion, my character grabbed her and killed her.
What needs to be done to trigger the kills?
I was running the Purple Tombstone add-on with the Green add-on that lets you stalk 25% faster.

Basic attack with no lunge is what's is required. If there is even a little lunge it won't count. Grabs such as from a locker or off a gen will not trigger it as well.

Ah, I see. I thought you were supposed to just approach them and also I only use lunge attacks. Now I see the issue. Thank you.

When you get close enough there should be a prompt that pops up. For example mine shows the Mouse 1 Icon and next to it, it says kill. But like the other person said you just have to be close enough and don't lunge. But they can't be mid vault/ occupied or else you'll just grab them

I received no prompt. Even on the Meg that I did kill, I just swung at her and missed as her generator exploded.

It's on the lower part of the screen, get near the survivor and check it out. As soon as it appears, just press m1 and let the magic happen.

Get up all in their personal space... like uncomfortably close... like spotting a squat at the gym close, and it'll happen.
Although that sounds like a bug, might be worth reporting.

You need to be able to smell the survivors's shampoo products to tombstone them.

In addition to needing to do a basic m1 instead of a lunge or just getting near them, you can't tombstone a survivor who is doing an action, such as repairing a generator, cleansing a totem, opening an exit gate, getting in or out of a locker, or vaulting a window or pallet.
It's possible the Meg let go of the gen just as you got the tombstone
