How long will the head piece be available with an auric pack purchase?
Is it with the purchase of any of the available packs?

Yes, you can get any auric cell pack and will recieve the cosmetic.
I dont know whether or not the cosmetic will return in the future. From past cosmetics that where linked to auric cell packs, not one has yet returned.
Seems like another fomo - thing. Sadly.

Maybe a patch (3-4 weeks) or so…

I just bought a $100 Auric Cells pack from the Nintendo eshop.
I love this head. She really looks really good.
I didn't know this was a thing until I read your post. However much you spend, it is worth it.

You definitely didn't need to spend 100, I only spent 10 and got it but it's not a bad thing
Edit: my apologies I misread and thought you were asking If you needed to spend a certain amount to get the cosmetic.
