Is there a challenge or something on eerie?
For the past few days I've been constantly getting eerie of crows(I think that's how you spell it) and people bringing the offering so I need to know is there some kind of challenge going on with the map or an achievement like what the sanctum of wrath has? Today alone I got four times well three since I brought in a ward to remove the map offering because I wasn't in the mood to play on it again because I had to yesterday constantly. Twice was a map offering and the second time was the game choosing the map.

Nah- It's just one of the most survivor-sided maps in the game currently since it's super easy to spot killers on it, the sand makes hearing footsteps harder for the killer, and almost every loop on the map is good with like 1 maybe 2 bad loops. Plus the map's size doesn't help either.

Oh okay. Well time to keep those wards on because I really just want a different map.

I honestly hope that the new map rotation system comes sooner than later because once that comes then the map offerings are most likely gonna meet the same fate that the old Moonlight offerings met where they'll be decommissioned/disabled permanently.

what new map rotation system? Has there been any official talk about that?

Nah its just the most "survivor sided" map on otz tier list so people keep sending you there
I don't mind tho, i personnally find ormond or haddonfield worse

It's more of after like five matches in a row of just playing on it you'll get bored. Kinda like facing a killer that didn't just release since if they just released it makes sense but let's say you face Wraith five times in a row you get bored of it quickly since. Otz most likely did of course research and constant matches to see what is and isn't survivor or killer sided with maps but still its one of those thing where just because he said it doesn't fully mean it's correct yes constant pallets and loops are all over the map but it was like that for a good while. Plus what happens Killer learns the layout and starts to figure out ways to counter a survivor then survivors start saying it's unfair. I've done this thing where if I'm facing the same killer constantly that didn't just get released I'll play killer just so I don't have to face the same one. Same with maps I'll either bring a ward or a different map offering for a chance.

Reworked Haddonfield is one of the most killer-sided Maps nowadays.
But I would agree, I dont mind Eyrie not that much when being burned by the Survivors. I dont think the map is that bad anymore.

Yeah most the swf send me there or ormond, it’s like every third game.

Yeah it's taken over from RPD that came up so often I was beginning to think I worked there.

Essentially BHVR are wanting to make a new map rotation system for the game where it's supposed to keep track of your most recently played maps so you have a higher chance of getting a different map. And for that to work the map offerings are likely gonna have to be decommissioned just like how the Moonlight offerings had to when BHVR wanted more control over map brightness/lighting.

yeah but when did they talk about that, any source??
we already have the feature that there are no direct repeats of maps (except for when new map released/map rework/offering used)0 -
It was during one of the Q&As BHVR did either earlier 2024 or VERY late 2023.

I usually follow these and can’t remember this at all that’s why I am asking - would genuinely interest me where/when they said that

I don't remember which one specifically it was either which is why I just gave the general time frame it happened.

I looked through the compilations for the Reddit AMAs from June, September and December 2023 and couldn’t find anything. (Also I think there wasn’t one in 2024?)
Maybe you misremembered something? Or it was from a few years ago - the devs did make some statements that they never again brought up after all..
