Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

I will give it to BHVR, it is nice to know when your reports are successful.

I reported an Alan Wake for speedhacking a while ago, and being blatant about it. I had recorded the footage of him racing around Victor at mach 10.

I haven't reported anyone else, so I know it was for this reason. Knowing that Behaviour does do their due diligence in giving consequences to cheaters makes me more willing to take the time to fill out reports.

Sure, the cheater can buy another copy of the game with another account, but I don't mind. Its knowing they don't get away with it scot-free, that they do not have free reign to do what they want, that makes me appreciate the work the devs put in to protecting this community.

Devs are overwhelmed and they can't fight cheaters. They have opened the door to them since the cross-platform, so I don't know how you can legitimally appreciate their work…

This report I only made around over a week ago. I think the speed that it was done is a fair turnaround time.

And crossplay changes nothing, I have played with hackers on both PS4 and Xbox before crossplay existed. Only difference is that it is more difficult to do. But it is not impossible.

"Devs doing their due diligence" is when cheaters are detected and banned automatically, and when most of client's actions are server-validated, making cheats like speedhacks impossible. Laying this duty of gathering evidence and filing reports on the community, while leaving the game in a vulnerable state for hackers, is not "diligence".
