Disappointed with the buckle up change
overall I think this update was very good. Only thing that bothers me is the buckle up change. Before anyone ask, yes it’s synergy with for the people needed to go as there was nothing you could do about it. But I just want to ask by itself, was the perk actually problem? I personally don’t think so. Again for the people buckle up needed to go, but by itself I don’t think the perk was a problem. It’s new affect doesn’t seem appealing either

150% sprint speed for 5 seconds and doesn’t cause exhaustion is insane and very great to negate slugging. This is a very good perk and has some wild synergy potential. I know it’s niche but for example if you pick up a survivor who has background player while a survivor is being picked up by the killer. The survivor you pick up off the ground will sprint at 250% for 5 seconds. That’s faster than Blights fastest speed.

Issue was the same as old BT. I wouldn't mind if they kept the endurance for the survivor being picked up. But the one doing the picking up shouldn't be protected. There should be risk with the action.

I dunno... its 5s at 150m/s... thats a free background player proc with no exhaustion for the picked up survivor...
Can still be used with FTP and Unbreakable, and would be pretty damn good for saving a tunneled player...

I wouldn’t say it’s very good. The perk was already situational so you might not even get a chance to use it and the effect just isn’t strong enough. I really don’t see why anyone would bring this perk tbh when there are better and more reliable options to get value out of

I guess you technically can still run made for this and wglf to get that same effect so maybe (and I mean maybe) it’s not that bad

I actually do run this, you can get it down to 6.4s for a full heal with Botany Knowledge.
If the killer slugs at all and the survivor gets to 50% recovery you can basically guarantee you can pick up, even eating a hit to do it. It's actually nice because a lot of killers don't expect this.

We don't need Buckle up existing when we have WGLF and MFT. Buckle Up was redundant but also power crept the above combo
Endurance for 2 people absolutely should require 2/16 perk slots

The problem is it was just way better than the other options
MFT - 10s for yourself after completing heal action
WGLF - 100% speed on dying survs and 10s endurance on that survivor if you have safe unhooked, taken a hit for someone, or flashlight saved
Soul Guard - 10s endurance whenever picked up every 30s. Unlimited self pick up at basekit speeds vs hex perks.
Buckle Up - While picking someone up both players see the killers aura. When picked up both of you have 10s endurance with no actual cooldown
All the other perks either have a downside or requirement/cooldown and only protect one person. FTP was a problem, but the perk by itself did a little too much.

The whole niche of FTP was you sacrificing yourself to save another person, Buckle up made it so you both got away scott free and reach the safety of a loop pallet etc plus it made WGLF obsolete now buckle up is more fair and focuses on saving the other person more then yourself. Out of two paths they could have chosen they picked the healthier one they could have reworked FTP

I would run buckle up and botany and when it does get a change to proc it’s so clutch. And since I don’t use “for the people” the killers dont expect it. I actually did it vs a slugging Oni and a twins. Gonna miss that…

Yea even worse I think the change makes it still a strong option to save a specific person, but you need to combo it with something else like mft to save yourself instead of it being the only perk you need for every situation.

BU and FtP was a very problematic combo. I was so excited when I saw it was getting fixed. Can't wait for this update just for that alone.

People saying the effect of Buckle Up (endurance for both) should require two perk slots are, imo, somewhat out of touch. It's still very situational and very safe-or-suck. Dedicating one perk slot to safe-or-suck is alright. Two? No.
The issue was neither FTP on its own not Buckle Up on its own. It was the combination. And imo, there are better ways to address this insane synergy. It needs to go, yes, absolutely. - But you don't have to do that by basically making one of the two entirely pointless.
"But the sprint speed!" - If the killer is far enough from the surv you wanna pick up for you to pick them up without it ending up a trade (which you generally don't want to do) then they're also far enough away for the surv to get to as much safety as they would with the sprint speed. - And if they're not far enough away then the picked up surv won't get a chance to even start sprinting cause they get smacked the second they get up.

New Buckle Up is useless, and its gonna be another low tier survivor perk that nobody is gonna run anymore
Current Buckle Up is perfect for extreme moments of the match, including slugging. They just need to remove the synergy with For The People
Please keep the current Buckle Up as it is

I’m gonna miss using botany and buckle up in the endgame and getting clutch saves. I did it vs a legion which he never expected and I did it vs a twins player which was super satisfying lol

Absolutely needed to happen and to be fair you can still do the combo it's just MfT/WGLF instead which is a much more healthy version.
I don't think new buckle up is terrible just niche it could maybe fit in with DS/Unbreakable.

lol I also did it vs and Oni when he started slugging with his power, I managed to pick up a sable and the Oni went to use his power on me and buckle up came in clutch. The ttv was very mad
