Theory Hex: Buff

Hex Totems are perks that offer very powerful "boons" to the killer but can be disabled/destroyed by survivors. Balance wise, I think a majority of Hexes are in alright state. I think most of us can agree that Hexes can be strong in most matches. That being the issue, "Most Matches".

I think Killer players who use Hex totems can agree that having survivors spawn close to hexes "Ruins" it. Having your totem disabled within the first few minutes of a match is the worst part of running these perks.

So, the buff I wanted to propose. Why not have Hex totems spawn after the match starts.

I'm suggesting that Dull Totems would become Hex Totems within a minute or more of the match starting and not at moment one. Pushing back Hex spawning time would help prevent the problem of survivors spawning on top of them.

What do you think?

I think Hexes should be blocked until the first hook or something like that. You'd still get to see them, but not cleanse them.

Personally I find these type of buffs to Hexes not a good idea because of Devour Hope. That perk can single handedly win you games as killer, so it should be cleansable right from the get go if you ask me.

Devour still has the ramp up time at least. You'd be able to memorise the position and go back to it when the first hook is done.

Devour is the type of perk that this change would buff the least, since you need multiple hooks to get the effect.

Boons are the Hexes of survivors not the other way around. 😡

This has been suggest before. Devs think Hexes are strong enough and won't do anything to buff them. They would tell you they solved the issue by hiding totems better anyways.

Im thinking a totem should only be lit after all Survivors are cursed unless stated otherwise (in the case of Plaything, Two Can Play, etc)
