Error: LS-0021
Hi, today I wanted to play dbd but it showed me this error. When I clicked on the "learn more" It advised me to Following:
Go to www.epicgames.com.Login to the Epic Games account you’re using.Hover over your name in the top right corner and click onAccount.Click onTransactions.Determine if you have a purchase on the account or not.
If you see a completed purchase for the game, double-check if you’re logged into that account on the Epic Games Launcher. If you’re not, logout and login with the correct one to access your game.
If you don’t see a completed purchase for the game here you’re not logged into the correct Epic Games account. You’ll have to determine the correct one to login that you previously made a purchase on. If you aren’t able to locate the account please reach out to us and we’ll be glad to help you locate it.
I followed the steps as advised and I purchased the game on 12/2/2021 when it was for free for a few days. So yes, the transaction happened but for free. After this I looked into the epic games app to see the game in library now labeled as "get". So does this mean that I have to pay for this game now? Did I lost all the achievements and hour that I spent in this game? I'm very confused why It appeared now. Does anyone have this same problem or do you know how to fix this please? I don't mind paying for it, I just don't wanna lose my hours and achievements.

Same thing happenend to me today, also can't launch the game because it says that i don't own the game on Epic Games even though i bought it 2021.

I am also having this issue. It has to be just Behavior/Epic because all the other free games I've gotten on epic are totally still playable. Hope it gets recognized and fixed ASAP

Me and my gf are having the same issue. Got it free back then in 2021 both. Both can't play. Hope bhvr/epic fixes their mess soon.

what is happening right now.. we spent a lot of time to get some achievements and some of us spent much money for the in-game stuff and now we don't have it anymore. epic games won't help us, i already sent them 3 messages and everything they could do was to send me a link to the dbd official site..

Me too, just wanted to play for the event and this error popped up. Slightly glad it seems it's ocurring to more people, so it's probably on their end. Also sent a ticket to Epic Games, will see how it goes and if I receive any news, I'll let you guys now.

Made an account just to post here, suddenly epic decided I don't own the game whilst still showing up as purchased in the transaction log. Great stuff. Almost 800h clocked

Also own it on Epic, got it free during the free period and have been playing it since while also spending money on other packs/cells etc. Hopefully something gets sorted.

i just opened my game now and have the same error. I honestly think it's because we got it for free and it timed out or something. I guess this is a sign i should stop playing the game lol i can't stand playing this ######### anyway. Playing now isn't like how it used to be.

I even thought it was a client bug, but both the website and the client tells me to get the game, while having the purchase on the transaction history

the games that they are giving for free is "yours to keep". there can't be anything like "Free period" or smth like that. they practically stole from us, because we spent money on cosmetics, on auric cells, on killers, etc. and now they took it away. the best thing to do is to either press charges or boycot in any way we can

UPDATE a mod/administrator replied to my question quoting: The team is aware of the issue with players who have a free copy of Dead by Daylight on Epic, and is investigating.

Let's wait and see, it's easier than it seems to push a mistake into live and having stuff like this happen, the tickets I made with epic support were escalated to technical support, I'll post here if I get any updates

Same, ever since the Splendor update I couldnt play but now it is not even in my library at all and I got it for free at that same time period, but I dont think i will be able to get it since in my country it is very scarce to get that much money because it is 30 dollar to get a 10 steam gift card yh…

Hi! I had the same issue. It was giving me that error and telling me I needed to buy the game. BUT, I sent a message to Epic support and they answered me quickly.To my surprise, they fixed it for me and now it's back in my library. Reach out to support and let them help you, good luck :)
