Do you think we'll get a Stranger Things x DND tie-in?

With 'Vecna' being a prominent character in both franchises, do you think we'll get some costumes/charms/banners tying the two franchises together?

I do hope we get a D&D Demogorgon skin and other D&D legendary skins for original killers - there should be plenty of possibilities… right?

But realistically? I do not expect it.. can’t imagine both license holders finding an agreement with BHVR while also staying in the same price category (and they just standardized cosmetics based on rarity even stricter?)

I don't think Wizards would want BHVR to release the DnD chapter to promote a different franchise nor do we have any indication we will get any more Stranger Things cosmetics in the future, I obviously don't know the contents of the new licensing agreement but I wouldn't be surprised if it was making them available for purchases again but no new content as Netflix is still making their own Stranger Things games as far as I know and wants to funnel people towards that.

Doubt it. BHVR would be out of pocket for both licenses, and i cant see contracts allowing any sort of crossover. Theyd be better off as stand alone. If we ever get another ST tie-in, I wouldn't be surprised if it's just survivors. David Harbour has already given his likeness to Alone In The Dark, so Hopper wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility imo. But not Vecna. I can't see us having two of them lol

There was another Slasher Radio interview with Cote earlier today and he said that they can't add a licensed skin on another licensed character. He also said that DnD Vecna doesn't prevent ST Vecna from being added later down the line as they are 2 different franchises and not connected.

So it doesn't seem like a Stranger Things tie in with this chapter is happening or even possible.

I literally just read this interview and came back to edit my comment but you beat me to it lol seems there's no issue with two Vecna's from the devs POV

Mixing licenses together leads to legal nightmares which is why BHVR doesn't do it.

It’s a bit of a stretch because the stranger things Vecna and demogorgon aren’t the DnD Vecna and demogorgon. They are simply nick names for unrelated things because the kids in the show play DnD and that’s their reference point for naming things.

You can see with all the streamers saying “it’s vecna from stranger things!” That the DnD source material isn’t as widely followed as you would think.

Not saying they can’t do a skin but if it’s a dnd licence then it’s not a stranger things licence. Unless there is further collaboration then I’d doubt it.

Here is the part of the interview already mentioned:

But it should be obvious that this is not possible. DnD Vecna has not really anything to do with ST Vecna and you dont just put one license on top of another license. This would legally not really be possible or at the very least HIGHLY unlikely. In the end, the DnD-License holder also have some form of advertisement with their license in a game like DBD. They receive money, sure, but it is also advertisement, because it might bring people to their franchise if they liked DBD-Vecna.

If they would just slap on another license, the DnD-License Holders would lose this. (Yes, the power would still be the same, but it would not be DnD-Vecna anymore)
