...to have the current effects, but to also trigger a tunnel vision.

The screen would go completely black except for an ellipse in the middle, not touching any of the borders.
Going from this

To this (Ellipse size is just to show the example, i'm not sure if this should be the actual size.)

Wait, dou you mean remove the total blindness and cause an effect like this? Or have this effect after being blinded? if the former, I feel like flashlights would become useless at pallets though.

    Remove the total Blindness?
As far as i know, Blindness only affects your aura reading.
I guess i should edit the title...

Ok that makes sense. Wouldn't actually mind that to be honest. Would make Clown's yellow blindness add on actually somewhat useful instead of totally useless. And a nice buff to Hex: The third Seal.

    Definitely a cool idea

This is my point with this discussion.
I'm actually a bit disappointed that currently it doesn't remove the Red Stain.

Oh wow, actually a nother nice idea to be honest. though could be a bit too good with The third Seal.

The mindgames with Mike Myers would be GOD TIER. Hell yeah!

    Maybe.
But idk, it still suffers from being a Hex.
    Maybe.

Actually maybe blindness could also remove the ability to hear the Killers terror radius or see his red stain. It would make it far more threatening.

That'd be cool, but we'd have to rename it Sense-Numbing or smthn. 😋

    Pretty neat idea.

How about tunnel vision but without the current affect?

Or on the complete other hand, how about blindness prevents you from seeing lit totems as lit, so they all look dull (as well as the current affect)

Genius plan. Make it turn off your monitor.

Now that you mention it, Blindness should affect the Red Stain. However, seeing no Red Stain with an RBT on could be a bit too powerful but I'd still support it.

Then RBT could just be an exception.

They made her Boxes' Auras an exception too after all. 😊

I think it should be more like Deep Wounds when you're about to go down. I lost a chase the other day because I couldn't see a damn thing, the screen was nearly black and I couldn't even tell where I was. From a horror standpoint, it was great! We need more of that.

*Oh and buff Third Seal, that perk is so underrated and I think there's a lot of possibilities. Maybe have a fake Hex Totem that, when Cleansed, makes everyone Blind. That might be too strong...

    Sound good idea to me

Although blindness counter me Dark Sense perk...

Unrelated to the initial idea, but what do you think of instead having it inflict a sound-based affect? I've seen it in a game once where everything was black, but you could occasionally blink to show outlines or something like that. I think having nothing but a circle in the middle of the screen would be kinda annoying.

I actually know which game you mean, but it's been a long time and can't remember the name. 😅

It'd be neat, but i think that's gonna be a whole lotta effort for 1 Status Effect.

If it obscures your vision, it shouldn’t negate auras. One or the other.

Seems like a good idea, Blindness against a SWF is useless.

This could make for some very interesting perks down the line too.

    @Boss

Blindness should do the following depending on the tiers (I/II/III):

    • Hide status notifications. Example: You won't know that you have the Exposed effect.
    • Hide progress bar notifications. Example: You won't know that you have decreased efficiency.
    • Hide the progress bar (you can still see skill checks). Example: You won't know if you're close to finishing a heal or sabotage.
    • Auras are now hidden. Example: You won't be able to see the killer with Dark Sense.
    • Survivors cannot see more than 32/24/16 meters around them. Example: Billy could be chain chainsawing his way to you with you not knowing he's coming.
