Anyone know what happened to discounts above -30%?

Because there hasn't been anything beyond -30% at all, it feels like, even once in the past 2 years or so. Whereas before that we would get an odd -50% or even -75% here and there on some less popular skins. But now it doesn't seem to be a thing anymore, since if we ever get a sale - it's just always -30%, never more (and after the major pricing revision they did recently - it's actually even less than -30% on everything that isn't a set).
Did the devs announce anywhere that -30% will be the only discounts we'll ever be getting going forward or something? Like, I'm not asking to discount every skin at -50% during every sale or something, it's just weird we're not getting them anymore for seemingly no reason.
