Tell me a scary story
We all live (presumably) all around the planet. we must know of local stories, some urban legend, that may not be well known outside our culture.
well, this is a horror game. in lore the survivors all sit around a campfire. so let's tell scary stories and put a bunch of scary characters from everywhere in here as maybe ideas for future characters or just tell stories (also, learning about these characters and stories is always fun).
I'll start.
A loira do banheiro - The blonde girl in the bathroom.
So, legend says that a blonde girl that was forced into an unhappy marriage very early on, died young. but the mother refused to bury her and left her in a white dress with cotton in her nose inside a glass coffin in her house for weeks.
But the ghost of the girl appeared several times to the family asking to be buried, and the family eventually did so. which seemed to calm her spirit.
several years later the house was no more, and in it's place was built a school. and the students claim that the spirit of this girl sometimes appears in the girls bathroom, in a white dress with blood filled cotton in her nose and her arms extended while moving towards the person, asking to be buried.
she also opens all the faucets. because she is thristy I guess. she asks for water sometimes.
pretty much everyone here in brazil knows about her. but the details change a bit (or a lot). what is consistent is that she haunts the girls bathroom in schools. the cotton in her nose with blood. the white dress. and she asks for help of some sort. also the faucets…
she has a ritual to be summoned aswell. kinda like blood mary. you gotta flush 3 times, knock on the stall door 3 times(sometimes the bathroom door) and say 3 curse words. sometimes you also gotta call her 3 times.
what is nice is that she doesn't always haunt you, sometimes she haunts the next person who comes in.
your turn.

One time, I was on the toilet minding my own business and a demonic creature the likes of which only Satan himself could withstand came before me. My heart stopped, I held my breath, sweat dripped profusely from my brow, and I prayed. The demonic hellspawn had no interest in me, it was is I wasn’t there, and it walked away.
After I finished my business on the pearly throne, I encountered it once again, only this time I was prepared with La Chancla and it met a swift demise.
here is an image of what the demonic being looks like:0 -
Ok this is gonna have to wait until after I get home, and it's not my story. But my dad worked in a hospital for a few years running their sleep lab and boy oh boy, he has told me some of the scariest ghost stories I've ever heard that he had to watch happen. Somehow since he was a kid he's been seeing ghost stuff happen and I'm lowkey jealous to the point of wanting to go on a real ghost hunt thing, but that's beside the point.
One story I will quickly mention is that one night he had to stay at the lab, he had a patient that was in Room 4, which I think was the real hotspot if I remember right. Patient was sleeping great, getting titrated to the best pressure for them (anyone who has a CPAP knows how those studies are), and all of a sudden the lamp flew across them. They couldn't have picked it up because they were asleep. But sure enough, the lamp went from on the ground to on top of the patient.
I used to be skeptical of these stories, but in recent retellings, I can see my dad genuinely getting scared remembering it. He's always been something of a stoic, so him being visibly scared by these stories is big for me. Maybe that's what makes them so scary for me, but I don't know.
Anyway, I have more of his stories, but I'll get back to it once I get to the house.
