Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Hear me out on this one.

I love Chaos Shuffle, but what if it completely randomized EVERYTHING.

Random Killer/Item, Addons, Offerings, Characters (applies to Survivor and Killer) + Cosmetics.

No more Killers bringing strong Killers with their best Addons. No more Survivors bringing their best in slot Items and Addons. No more wearing dark cosmetics to try and gain a competitive edge. No more Map Offerings favoring one side.

Just pure randomness.

random killer shouldnt be a thing. imagine getting nurse without any knowledge. it wouldnt be fun and punishing. but rest i can agree.

Survivors can get No Mither with no perks that benefit them. That's the thing about RNG, it can screw over anyone on both sides.

I suck at Nurse, and I still wouldnt be opposed to this since it feels fair, RNG just takes the wheel.

I'd be down if that was an extra option, maybe even a separate modifier that shows up, but I kind of like the semi control you have with the current system.

Random killer and their addons is awful idea. The only joy in playing killer for me is using power and chase, why should i even login into queue, if i will possibly play killer i hate to play as? I better sit in a bush for 3 games as survivor than playing Cenobite or Hag.
For the same reason random addons is awful idea. There is a bunch not only bad/useless (not a big deal), but harmful addons, which can suck off whole desire to play killer.
And since when everyone decided that "survivor can get No Mither" is anywhere good argument? Delete this perk from mode, now what left from this point? One perk that ruins games isn't the same thing player plays killer that hates or doesn't know how to play as, or ruin his power with some random addons. I definately don't want to play against baby killers every game, lack of slowdown already makes this mode chill af.
But map offerings and iri addons shouldn't be a thing definately. Don't mind iri addons on killers when i play survivor, since no slowdown, but i don't really care, i rarely play with them anyway and half of them not worth it.

I wouldn't like randomizing the killer.

Too many killers can't compete except at the lowest levels and with very specific builds.

I don't mind losing in Chaos Shuffle mode, but I'd still like to be able to do something relevant.

randomizing survivors does nothing other than giving free items, randomizing killer is just asking to lose

Randomizing Survivors and their cosmetics DOES matter more than you think. A Survivor could get a cosmetic that makes them shine across the map like a lightbulb, or they could get a loud Survivor that is inherently easier to track in chase. I think you are far too dismissive of the impact it would have.

Random Items can sometimes result in not getting an item at all. There is no guarantee that Survivors are going to constantly get the best in slot items, they could get a Flashlight, or a Brown Toolbox, Or a Firecracker.

I enjoy Killer and Survivor in Chaos Shuffle, I really dont care if it seems like it gives one side an advantage, the gamemode is inherently made for fun anyways, I dont take my matches seriously and winning is not something I care about in Chaos Shuffle since it's not a serious gamemode.

Variety is the spice of life and Id love to have more variety for both roles.

I mean again thats small potatoes vs big potatoes,

free item might not mean a good item but id say ~50% of people in my lobbies didn't even bother with an item for chaos shuffle, sure blue haired nea might not have her styptic medkit but williambilloverbeck1995 who hasn't equipped an item since 2018 might get it instead. So its not much of a randomization for items.

Cosmetics, loud survivors not really that impactful since sound while nice doesn't affect all loops actual skill and looping does and sure you can't blend in with a bush 24/7 but stealth hasn't been cared about in dbd till they removed it and replaced it with calm spirit and distortion

Vs random killer, can you guess how many people play every single killer in the game and knows them in depth and can play them with random perks and addons, I can count them on one hand with two fingers and one of them its otz

First random killer at least 5 killers in the game (huntress, hag, nurse, spirit, deathslinger) don't really play like any other dbd killer they have to almost completely rely on their power to get anywhere, on top of the fact that spirit isn't accessible at all, you know how fun a gamemode would be if there was a 1/35 chance for it to be unplayable because you don't have good speakers or are hard of hearing. How about 1/35 chance of playing a killer who can't even normally chase survivors if you don't know how to use their power.

Addons, if you think its fun to brick on killer it might be even more fun to brick on addons. Even if you could play all the killers theres some funny bricks of addons called meme addons. Did you get deathslinger, wraith, trapper, billy, bubba, nurse, hag, myers, pig, blight, pinhead, (especially blight, billy and nurse) wouldn't it be wacky if there was a ~10.2% chance (20.5% on blight and nurse) that killer was completely worse bordering unplayable because of meme addons (11/350 chance) compare to (1/34.6 chance of no mither per survivor btw)

You add those two together and for most players depending on ability and depending on console not counting duplicates you have a (5/35 + 9/350) chance of killer being unplayable for a good chuck of people and boom the new mode 1/6 chance of being unplayable for as killer for a lot of people, and it doesn't get better when you add more factors like nightfall or dream world ect.

So uh yeah basically 1 : 1 with cosmetics and free items and no it doesn't really work for a playerbase, might work for a small group of friends (theres websites for it) but not a gamemode

    I'd love to randomize Killer.

It'd finally get a lot of people out of their comfort zones and understanding different Killer's issues.

It'd also make me happy because now I don't have to pick :)

Chaos Shuffle is honestly a good gamemode for learning the game since you are exposed to a wide variety of perks and the gameplay styles that come with them.

One of my friends is still really new to the game and they have learned a lot from the gamemode, and since they cant use Windows of Opporunity, they are actually taking the time to learn each map without the training wheels being on. The addition of being able to check and see what you perks do in the ESC menu has also been really helpful to them since they can just read things at their own pace.

And even for those not learning, the random variety just spices up the gameplay enough to be interesting. It's one of the few gamemodes that BHVR has made where I actually feel like it can properly cater to new and veteran players.
