Which killers are actually fun when players go against the Killer stereotype?

There are a few killers who carry a stereotypical reputation that is born more of the players playstyle rather than the killer themselves. Examples of offenders:

  • Wraiths who hit and run between tunneling the same survivor off hook.
  • Spirits hard tunnelling survivors off hook.
  • Blight hard stacking slowdown perks, tunneling a player out and playing super tryhard.
  • Nurses who camp hooks and slug every one to death.
  • Skull Merchant trying to troll and stall the game as much as possible over a 3 gen.
  • Bubba camping hooks and sawing down anyone who goes for the save.
  • Trapper who creates his whole build to kill a survivor in basement.

These labels tend to stick, and you roll your eyes when you see them... but every now and again you get one who goes against the grain, and opts for splitting pressure, committing to chases.

Do you have a killer/stereotype you normally bemoan seeing, but actually enjoy trying to take on their power when they play like a Chad and make a game of it?

Who has the biggest swing?

A Bubba moon sawing and just overall knowing how to use his power is something to behold. We need more of them

Bubbas who are actually good at him and know how to mindgame with the chainsaw are genuinely some of the most fun killers to play against. Chases are fun and very interactive since both sides have opportunities to make skillful plays, and there's always constant pressure because the smallest mistake can mean you go down.

And I know this is probably an unpopular opinion but I actually enjoy facing Nurse most of the time because she is different and her gameplay is completely unique. There isn't any other killer whose counterplay is even remotely similar to hers

Myers! Of all the ‘this is gonna only go one way’ kind of games, Myers is always enjoyable lol jumping in locker before he tombstones is also kind of fun lol I usually come out and let him eventually but the cat and mouse of the situation always makes me chuckle - especially seeing Michael’s deadpan face lol

I can't say much for killers I've faced, but I do have two things I enjoy doing on Dredge and Deathslinger.

Dredge, I slap on NOED/Game Afoot/Rancor/No Way Out with addons to reduce teleport cooldowns and break all the locks at endgame. I then teleport to lockers to watch survivors, letting his ambient dark stuff seep out of the locker. Sometimes, survivors just open the locker for me and let me get a stack of No Way Out. Once endgame hits, begin actually taking chases and get Mori's. No real BP gain, but I find it kinda funny to do.

Then there's Deathslinger, where I slap on Insidious, Franklin's Demise, Nurses Calling and Iron Grasp. I then send myself to any map with a house to use, and declare that my property. If survivors walk into my yard or into my house, I drag em in with the spear, take their item and chase them off. If I down them, I pick them up and put them on the sidewalk/edge of my property. I'll also change my steam name to 'Old Man Jenkins.'
