I'm seeing a lot of posts here, on other social media platforms and Twitch streams that "once again another Event where Killers are lame and boring" I played about 10 matches today and in at least 6 of the matched involved strong toolbox BNP or potentially strong SwF set ups.

With the 8th Year Anniversary Event starting today and skins going on sale I decided to buy the Tiffany skin for Chucky, a killer I never really played beforehand so while going against all this having to learn the killer quickly on the go.

It's usually pretty rough going against 1 BNP and Prove Thyself player speeding through gens but whole teams running gen builds? Yikes. Sure in these screenshots they show I Draw and Win but that doesn't show the full picture. Now I don't run them (gen defense builds) because I prefer variety but why is it BHVR are so against Killers running Gen defense synergy builds to the point of nerfing/destroying them when they get used but perfectly fine with Survivor stacking Gen Perks and Toolboxes on top of each other? It just makes the match boring and end way too quickly without even seeing a certain player in the match.

I even got to have a few discussions with players after the match on why they decided to use these builds and a lot of the answers I got back were "every match so far has been Slugging and Tunneling" Problem with this mindset is it's just causing the inconvenience to cycle further to more players.

Survivors bring meme builds = they lose due to duffing around and taking 10 mins to do a single gen
Maybe 2 of these players resort to strong builds to win next match thus rushing gens on next killer they face
Killer has meme build, retaliates in the match by tunneling
Killer is pissed for only getting 0-1k as it was too late to realise
Killer brings full gen defense build against meme build survivors
Cycle continues

I feel if people want change they need to bite the bullet and play builds they want to for enjoyment of the game, not builds what will potentially piss off who they go against which they then use against the next players they go against otherwise the vicious cycle just continues.

    I think many people deliberately play like this during the events, because they are angry at the devs for spending resources on new events, mechanics and cosmetics for them, instead of fixing the game.
