Bite the Bullet silences both players' grunts of pain during the healing interaction, negates all noise related to healing, and works while exhausted. It's hardly just a dead perk.

It also practically nullifies missing skillchecks while healing. Not a common problem but still valuable if it happens.

It gets heavily countered by Nurses Calling, but besides that it's not a bad perk, can be very strong if used in certain scenarios, especially to escape mid-chase.
Hide in a corner, or a bush, and heal with this perk, the killer can't hear you and loses you.

Bite the Bullet was added to the game during a time where Iron Will was still 100%.
That aside, it still has use as the survivor can activate it when they want (as long as self-care or medkit are there) which has greater potential to confuse killers than just having Iron Will turn off then on. You can make them think you don't have any silencing perk/

Doesnt matter. If both players have iron will both of them are silent.

I mean, it's still not great. Iron Will being buffed won't change how good it is, but I'd really love to see it work when a Survivor is healing you as well.

Nah, BTB works with Exhaustion. Lose line of sight after getting ahead with an Exhaustion perk, then start healing with a medkit and the killer will be confused. That's how I've always used it anyway. There's room for both.

Not really. Killers dont need exhaustion anymore and if they do they are more worried of background player. Theres no reason to bring both cause iron will does everything that bite the bullet does but better.

I meant there is room for both to exist in the game. Not both to be used together.
When I need to do an escape chase challenge, I always use BTB with Overcome + Lucky Break and a medkit. It is extremely effective at losing chase, almost hilariously so. This is not something you could do with Iron Will (it doesn't work with Overcome due to Exhaustion). So for me, I still have reason to use BTB as needed without having to pick IW over it.

Affecting all survivors within 8 meters and linger for 15 seconds when not in range would be a good choice

Whats the funny part between Ironwill and BTB?
Because of Ironwill nerf, survivors didnt use the perk anymore. So its extremely rare to find a survivor that not grunting, which killers never expect BTB in play. And instantly lose track to survivor because they were grunting, then they dont.
The buffing back on Ironwill will make killers learn to play against silent survivors and use eyes more than sounds (which they can practice more frequently because now many survivors will use Ironwill), and BTB suddenly become weaker, despite not being touched.
Its similar to Unbreakable, almost became useless because DS hard nerf in 6.1.0
