Why are OCE servers being merged with SEA/EA/MISC players?

It's called marketing. Network latency has zero impact to your PC's FPS. You can have 120fps and still rubberband around the map.

Apparently I'm the only Survivor playing in OCE at the moment, got put onto the SEA server with 3 SEA Survivors and an SEA Killer.

The fact this is still happening just baffles me.
Who at BHVR thought that this was a good idea? What were they trying to achieve with this? Why is there no mention of this in any of the patch notes? Why have they not reverted it?
If they thought about this change for like 2 seconds, they would've realised how stupid it is. Yet they still went through with it and it doesn't look like they're changing their minds anytime soon, which really sucks.
