::Rules of the Woods:: Appalachian Rep. concept
Disclaimer: I'm new to Dead by Daylight so don't hold it against me if there is misinformation, similarities, etc. This is all just for fun.
If there is anything I am a sucker for it is southern folklore and representation. You can never have enough crazy hicks and bone chilling tales from America's oldest mountain chain where the most absurd instances occur.
I think it would be a breath of fresh air to have a non-humanoid killer even though this creature cuts close given its face and forelimbs. The closest killer we have that is quadrupedal is the Xenomorph. I think it would also do good service to folks who like creature horrors.
Back in March of 2023 I designed this creature inspired by indigenous culture. Despite the Appalachian lore behind it most of its design heavily references masks from Northwest coast tribes. I will add more to this thread as I develop it. This was just a random top-of-the-head character design I drew out and figured it would be fun to try and insert it in DBD.

The Watcher
"The south is prone to missing people cases however one detail about these cases sticks out like a sore thumb. The last known whereabouts of the missing persons are typically located in environments lush with wildlife a majority which feature hiking trails and reserves. Any located possessions are found approximately a few yards away from caves both documented and unrecorded. Authorities and search teams often do not bother going deep within the caves or surrounding woods as the cave systems can span across the states and with lack of remains or a trail of evidence it is safer to assume that most disappearances were under natural circumstances and not linked to criminal activity however these cold cases do not sit right with the public. Many superstitious folks believe it is the cause of something paranormal and conspiracy theorists convince themselves it is a cover up. A lot of people have played detective trying to uncover the mystery behind the disappearances of adventurous locals and tourists alike but to no avail."
