Is there anything being done to counter and ban cheaters from the game?
Apparently there's a cheat or an exploit where survivors can make the killer disconnect from the game. As a killer main this happens to me at least once a week. In fact it just happened to me like 10 mins ago that's why I'm posting this.
I notice that whenever survivors can't handle me as a killer they start to act weird then a few seconds later i get disconnected mid chase then it says "the server disconnected" and everyone has a disconnected icon but I receive 0 bloodpoints yet the survivors receive between 5000 to 15000 bloodpoints. I also lose my add ons and offering when this happens.
Like my last game we were in RPD. I was using Wraith and I got 2 hooks in less than 2 mins of chase. Suddenly the 2 survivors I hooked started acting weird. The Sable started going in out of lockers giving me non stop sound notifications. The Jill started following me around hoping to take hits. After I hooked these 2 for the 2nd time I started chasing a different survivor. Just as I was about to hit that survivor the game froze then I got disconnected from the match.
I know for a fact that my internet is not the issue. I have a consistent 800 mbps speed. I'm also not experiencing any lags whatsoever in these games that I get disconnected from. It's always the same pattern. Whenever I get fast downs and hooks someone starts acting weird then I get disconnected from the match.

This happens to me maybe once every 2-3 days. It feels like a vast majority of the time it is after I down the final survivor. Could just be server issues honestly, but that it has never happened while I've been losing that I can recall is a bit odd.
I do wonder if it is actually cheats or the servers , because I don't get a DC penalty so it's not connection issues on my end.

There's a lot of server issues going on at the moment. I personally haven't experienced any booting from games but I've had a number of lagging and rubber banding issues. The whole thing about cheaters disconnecting players is just a rumour afaik. I've never seen it confirmed at least.

I play Killer a lot and this happens to me almost once a day, sometimes twice a day. The reason that I agree with you and suspect foul play is because it never happens when I’m alone or losing. It only only only ever happens when I have a snowball going on. Could it still be server issues? It could be but I’m still very suspicious.
Edit: I lose my add ons and offerings when this happens but then like a game or two later they reappear in my inventory. I haven't verified if BP also gets reimbursed or not.

That's a lot. It has happened me once during event in endgame. When I went to locker with dredge power and exited from there. The game did crash for survivors too I asked and they didn't get bp. But before I have had it happen as well when im winning maybe the servers can't handle too many downs and hooks sometimes?

If it actually isn’t cheating then that’s what I think it might be, too many actions for the server probably.

It’s happened to me on Survivor too, but suspiciously only when I do good against the Killer. The server shuts down and then me AND the Killer both get 0 BP. And again, my items are usually reimbursed 1-2 games later. Plus I never get a DC penalty when whatever it is kicks me out of the game.

I can confirm this. This also happened to me, and as with everyone else, ONLY when I was wiping the floor with survivors. The fact that it only happens to killers when they are winning seems to be a general pattern, and can be safely assumed to be a new exploit used by cheaters to crash servers. So next time you play killer, try not to win too hard, lest the server gets crashed by a "subtle" cheater from the opposing team.

I've had it happen maybe 8-10 times total in the past 2 years. Could have been internet issues a couple times but some were just server disconnects. I wouldn't think it's cheater thing but could be as when it's happened it was when i was doing pretty well early as killer. Again though could have been server issues affecting everyone in the match but not affected the killer yet. Also had someone super confused at the start of the event because 3 people dced early because i was playing skull merchant and they were so bewildered that they would dc because of a killer.

It happened to me twice last month (i dont play a lot, just 2 games or so per day)
Both when i was crushing it as a killer.
I cant say anything for sure, but it does look suspicious…….
