Chance of Freddy finally getting cosmetics?
I've heard rumors of a potential show about Freddy coming out around October and if these rumors are true I'm hoping theres a chance of Freddy getting some kind of cosmetic to go with the show.
Some other characters have received new cosmetics because of new media like movies or shows releasing, I know the license holders of Freddy are very stingy when it comes to this license, I mean Freddy probably wouldn't have been added in the first place if they didn't make a compromise and give BHVR the version from 2010 even though I heard they tried getting the original Robert Englund version. But at the same time it's been years since then so they might be willing to give more upon request or for a special occasion.
To sum it up if this show is real and does happen I hope Freddy can get some kind of cosmetic with the release, he's the only killer in the game to not have any cosmetics apart from his prestige cosmetics and I think with the possibility of a new show could finally give him something.

I wouldn't count on it, from my understanding the Freddy license holders are the most strict and is why Freddy has 0 cosmetics

Don't they only have the license to the 2010 remake movie? He only had one look in that. That's what we have.

As I said I hope if a new show does happen the license holders would be willing to give more, like the look Freddy would have in the show for example. Also Freddy had two looks in the 2010 movie, we saw his human form too and he even used that look in the dreams in a alternate ending.

Yeah the license holders are very strict with it, I mean they didn't even let them use the actors likeness for Freddy and Quentin only got a more accurate face because the actor himself stepped in and got in contact with BHVR to get it updated. But if a show does happen a skin for Freddy might happen to help promote it, but I still don't see a big chance of that happening.

That's not the actor's likeness Quentin currently has, nothing came out of the thing between the actor and Cote all those years ago.
Warner Bros have done nothing with the franchise since the 2010 remake, which was a whole whooping 9 years that they've spent doing nothing with the franchise before the Wes Craven Estate regained the US Rights for the franchise so that the IP is now in the same copyright situation as Hellraiser and Friday the 13th. Hell, they've done even less than nothing with the original film series since Freddy vs Jason.
ANOES getting new content is about as likely as getting a Stephen King IP in the game or new content for Hellraiser at this point.

Well obviously the poster was fake but that doesn't mean the rumors are fake. I really hope they aren't fake because it's the only thing giving me at least a little hope that Freddy will get some kinda cosmetics.

Sadly it was fake. It was made up by a satire and fake news Facebook account.
I hope Freddy gets some cosmetics eventually but right now it doesn't seem likely :(
