Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Let's discuss The Nightmare's true potential with the perk of Unforeseen + (few tips against Freddy)

The Nightmare (Freddy Krueger) has obviously come along way in relation to his power and his add ons, as of now he's not in a good spot but can still achieve a fairly good kill rate depending on the MMR you're placed in and the type of survivors, before it was simply his add ons being too overpowered for the solo queue experience in terms of generator progression, mixed with perks it wasn't fun at all but was easy to counter against if you had a team with communication.

Moving onto the topic of this discussion, Unforeseen is a perk from The Unknown it essentially gives you the undetectable status effect after kicking a generator, and your terror radius being transferred onto that specific area only. Now this combined with the dream world is really good as it literally removes the lullaby making him a completely stealthy killer and eliminating those hard chases which made it hard for The Nightmare, this combined with the Red Paint Brush (start in the dream world, skill checks don't wake up), and combined the second perk from The Unknown Undone is simply disgusting with two other perks I run being Overcharge and Oppression which can simply in the right hands and with the right plays destroy a solo queue lobby, which is what has been happening so far with Unforeseen on Freddy. In a SWF situation it's going to be called out immediately making them more self aware, but you're still able to get close to them to get a M1 hit no matter what.

Furthermore, The Nightmare is a short killer at 4.6m/s with the same footsteps as male survivors, this making the stealthy build even more reliable as survivors mistake you as a literal survivor in some situations, especially with the right cosmetic (yes that's right cosmetic) being worn. What I mean by this is the difference of wearing the prestige bloody outfit and the regular. Wanna know a fun fact? The dream projection only shows Freddy's default outfit regardless if you're wearing the prestige outfit, this makes experienced players know if you're mind gaming with the dream projection effectively making it useless and by the time you cancel it your prestige wouldn't load in unless you've fully committed making it useless unless you're committing to gain pressure over the survivors. On top of that, the prestige outfit for Freddy has good advantages, as when the survivors are not present in the dream world it's a lot more harder to see Freddy in his prestige outfit compared to his regular outfit, making the stealthy aspect even better.
