Should Nemesis have a mark of negation?
I'm pretty sure that the only killer thus far to receive a mark of negation is Vecna. The Entity decided that he was too powerful and potentially a threat, so he engraved him with the mark, severely reducing his magical potential. While there are arguably other killers that seem worthy of receiving the mark, such as Dredge, Freddy and Wesker, I feel like Nemesis feels especially deserving. During the events of Resident Evil 3, we are shown that Nemesis is practically unkillable, with explosions from rocket launchers merely stunning him for a short period of time. He has the ability to infect people with the T-virus, run at incredible speeds, punch through walls with ease and super jump over long distances. All whilst in his weakest form. Given enough time, if the Entity had placed no restrictions on him, he would be able to grow to such an enormous size that he would literally engulf the whole trial. (SPOILERS FOR RE3) It took being shot by an extremely powerful railgun and being bombed by a nuke to seemingly finally destroy him (SPOILERS OVER). I don't know, it just kinda seems like Nemesis has unlimited potential and in-game he's reduced to a punch, a whip and a couple of zombies. Even pallets hurt him, when they should break on impact and do absolutely nothing. Because of his extreme nerfs from the Entity, I feel like Nemesis should 100% have a mark of negation on him. Do you agree?
EDIT: Alright, thanks for the clarification. I thought that the Entity gave the mark to anyone powerful in order to greatly nerf them, but it gives it to people it views as a threat to itself.

What? No.
He doesn't have any supernatural abilities, nor the intelligence to potentially rival the entity on any level.

No.
The mark is reserved for the ultra powerful killers only such as Vecna & Dracula, it is not there to explain why every killer is the way they are.
Nemesis does not come near that type of power level regardless of it's ability to adapt into any situation through mutation, in fact it doesn't take the mark to have Nemesis be faced by getting hit from a pallet.

Nemesis isn't a threat to The Entity. Vecna absolutely is, especially since he held off the capture attempt with ease.
The Entity does minor alterations to fit the trials already. Some are added abilities or buffs: (The Legion, The Wraith, The Trickster), and some are nerfed or focused to fit the trial more: (The Nightmare, The Onryō).
Nemesis looks like it's mutations were focused into its whip, taking away from the ability to become an absolute beast. The Entity doesn't want Killers to annihilate Survivors, because it would provide precious little sustinance, amd in order for it to grow stronger it needs to squeeze as much out of these trials as it can.

While he should not have the mark of negation he's certainly been nerfed in this realm canonically he can tank shotgun blasts a pallet wouldn't stun him period not to mention he should be running very faster and hit a lot harder

Never said he wasn't nerfed.

Imo no. There are a couple of other Killers that I can think of that would deserve the mark before Nemesis.

If anyone from RE should get a mark of negation, it would be Ada.

Nemesis at the end of the day is just a physical monster. Even at his strongest, his monstrous form is not threat to the entity.
The same can't be said for the likes of Vecna, who came to the entity's realm willingly and is mainly playing along. I wouldn't put it past him to figure out a way to remove the limiter if he really wanted to.Post edited by ExcelSword on1 -
Huntress needs a mark of negation as she is the only killer in the game who can lose connection to the entity as referenced in her Beast of Prey perk😭

OMG Huntress might be the most powerful being in the multiverse!!! 😱😱😱

Barbecue and Chilli mentions that Bubba has a deep bond with the Entity so he should the Mark of the Good Boi.

He is mostly missing his weapons although I'd kind of argue yes depending on the difficulty - Nemesis absolutely runs slower and it looks like he's power walking compared to RE3. Although if this Nemesis is standard difficulty Nemesis then no he's fine. If we compared him to Inferno difficulty then yeah he's kind of handicapped by a large margin. At the same time he has no supernatural abilities so more so no.
But outside of his insane leg strength I'd argue no he's just a little lackluster.
The only killer in game I'd say would have the mark is Freddy but likely the mark was created as a licensing deal to not make Vecna look like a weak character more than anything. Possibly Dredge as well but I feel canonically Freddy and Dredge are on far different power levels.

as far as understood it, pretty much all killers already are nerfed or buffed by the Entity to fit into trials - otherwise Susie and Pig would be much weaker than Xeno and Singularity (just examples)
But Vecna is on another level of power as others have pointed out. But Pinhead should be there too, shouldn’t he? For Freddy it’s a maybe, as he was definitely weakened and doesn’t show his full arsenal of powers, he might still be no match for the Entity itself as we don’t know enough about its sleep and dreams. And Dredge might also be on that level but well,‚it’s an original BHVR creation and might already be associated with the Entity to not need it?

I think the Entity shrunk Nemesis a bit, too? I mean, he's still pretty large, but not quite as large as he was in the RE game. He'd have to be shrunk down, or else he wouldn't be able to fit into any doorways…
