Does no-one feel it is a little weird that bhvr keeps anouncing chapters months away?
First with Project W, which was announced when Dredge was released (3 months in advance) then Castlevania which was announced in january of this year (7 months in advance) and now FNAF (1 year in advance)….
I mean oddly enough it kind of just kills the hype for other releases. I mean the next year I will be like yes this is great but it isnt fnaf… only x months remaning!
Just don't get the point of it.

It's like when films release a teaser trailer 2 years before the film actually releases. I guess they think it's to hype us up, but it's just annoying. Just announce whatever it is the month before at the earliest please.

The announcement was a huge surprise to me because everyone wrote the fnaf collab being DBD off because DBD was doing castlevania.
It's a huge surprise that they would do that with the castlevania PTB being tomorrow. But because fnaf is far away, castlevania can be the focus for now.2 -
FNAF's 10-year anniversary is next year. Their 9-year anniversary is in 3 days.

Apparently, (don't quote me on that, but it's all over Reddit), it's the 10th? anniversary of FNAF and that's probably why it was announced today already.

They get leaked months in advance anyway. May as well make it official.

unless your like craving dbd content, i don't think it is huge hype change. Your still waiting for the chapter to release. I don't think it is wise of bvhr announce chapter so far in advance because there is no guaranteed that said chapters come. I think it is better to just announce them 1 or 2 months on advance when content is shows up. They could announce licensed chapter and for some strange reason, the chapter does not make the cut.

It might be because of popularity. The first RE chapter was a huge success, so they announce Project W early, and then fnaf is one of the most requested licensed chapters, plus its the game series 10th anniversary.

It's 10 year anniversary this year. The original game was released August

My mistake, you're correct.

I guess they announce it because FNAF want it and not because BHVR want it. I could also imagen that the developers want to prevent any leaks because FNAFxDbD is a huge one and the best way to prevent any leaks is to announce it offically. I mean, All Things Wicked, Chucky, Alan Wake, and Castlevania were leaked by a random YT comment. That may be funny for us, but it hurts the developers incredibly because it lowers their trustworthiness.
If we look at BHVR's shedule they plan everything one year ahead, wich means they currently plan their next anniversary and fall chapter for 2025. The developers said that they need 9 - 11 months to create a killer and their power which means that the FNAF license is very fresh (maybe not even a month old).
Castlevania was announced during the anniversay stream and not in January, so it was 3 months in advance. I guess you confused it with the leak? Project W and Castlevania were annocuned during the anniversary as a special surprise for the community because both are big franchises and players love them. However, there are also these type of licensed chapters that the developers announce a day or two days before the PTB like Chucky, Alien, or Tomb Raider. So they do a good mix of both and this in my opinion good . However, announcing a chapter one year in advance is a big surprise but a good one.

For a while we kept having chapters leaked and spoiled, it took iirc a fake rumour of Tcm licence being pulled in order to flush the leaker out but by then Nic Cage was already spoiled. Maybe they are still anxious.

I agree. It's likely to beat leakers to the punch

I feel they announced it bit too early at least wait that 2024 summer is over before annoyncing something for 2025 summer in my opinion. My little brother said he can't wait that long.
