This is why I can’t play survivor anymore
So I just got done playing a clown game on Lery’s, there was a streamer that gave up on first hook. Long story short I go into his stream after the match and say GG and he gets all mad because I used franklins on clown and he was talking about how he’s a brainless killer and he’s easy if you’re a bad killer.
But I think to myself why do people like this screw over their teammates all because you went against a killer you don’t like especially if you’re a streamer like thats gross behavior. I’ve always been polite and respectful to my opponents because listen at the end of the day this is just a game.

No, nothing shocks me anymore. It’s just sad this is how some people behave in a game. Especially giving up at 5 gens.

How about doing nothing? Going over to people's stream after you win can come across as gloating/rubbing salt in the wound and he clearly was upset else he wouldn't ragequit.

Killer behavior and balancing has been a far greater contribution to Survivor being miserable than the occasional ragequit could ever be sorry.

killers are not the problem. Survivors are the ones complaining about killer perks but yet survivors have perks that literally let them abuse windows.

Then again you could have told him something more than just GG. Saying GG sometimes just sounds as a gg ez that you say just because you won. Sometimes I stream too and the killer enters in my chat and usually they are very nice to me and we become friends and I don't mind that I got killed. If they say GG I might just say GG back but it doesn't create any proper conversation

yeah maybe I shouldn’t have went to their stream because now that I think about it, it probably wasn’t the appropriate time. But I also think streamers need to take accountability for their behavior when they choose to quit in a video game all over a certain killer or perk.

Even if going to the stream wasn't the appropriate thing, I do think that streamer's reaction was over the top, because like you said, it's just a game at the end of the day. I have my times when I give up, or when teammates give up, but I just move on. The other day I had a Skull Merchant, and the first teammate gave up on first hook (surprise). In the end, she 3k'd at four gens (she gave hatch to the last guy). The Killer came to my stream and said "gg, no hard feelings." I'm like, "Meh, it's Skull Merchant, what can you expect?" What else can we expect aside from a miserable match because no one wants to play against her?

part of me feels bad though because I know how frustrating this game can be. Unfortunately that is how it is in the online gaming world. You’re always gonna get those heated moments.

Going to that player’s stream to say “GG” after your win seems condescending. Not sure why you’d think someone who rage quit would want to hear anything at all from you. I wonder if you really did it to like mess with him because there’s no way you thought someone who rage quit would appreciate you entering their stream to say something known for being mocking.5 -

Anyway, as for the topic/OP, it's a little disingenuous to go into the stream of someone who just rage quit and expect anything different. It's like when someone gets irate during an argument and tries to walk away and then wondering why they snap at you when you follow them and keep engaging. They're clearly not thrilled with you, and even if their reasoning is total crap, let it be.
I just don't get this phenomenon in general. Following someone after a match after they lost (especially if there was any indication there were bad feelings) is at best schadenfreude and at worst just toxic gloating/baiting. No good is gonna come from it.
And if you're gonna go into their thread to revel in the fact that you beat them, at least don't insult their intelligence by saying GG.
But don't get me wrong, I don't think there's any good reason to ragequit. But following a ragequitter around saying GG is a pretty flimsy pretense for being toxic.

you know what maybe people shouldn’t stream than or go anonymous if they don’t want their opponents to come in post match. I stand by everything that I said. I’m not gonna blame for myself just for simply saying GG I was your killer whether or not that sounds like me rubbing it in someone’s face.

Not really. I have never denied my bias towards survivor that is a natural result from me maining the role.
And I most definitely do not make threads or posts claiming to care for both sides. I recognize that any opinion I have on killer is lesser in most respects to someone who actually mains the role competitively because I play killer casually.
I take issue with people feigning being unbiased by just slapping 'I play both sides' on their thoughts.

This kind of thing is either naivety or ragebait. There's zero other rational explanation.
Anyone with social awareness knows that engaging with someone who ragequit against you is a bad idea and is likely to stoke the flames further. But that's often the goal, so they go ahead and say something like "gg" or "wp" when it's obviously unwelcome and then hide behind the veneer of sportsmanship when the other party is hacked off about it.

You say GG on the field, you don't follow them into their locker room and say it. Doing what you did truly was poor form. It's ok to not know this, but gads man, you know now.

Because you and several other people have accused me of rubbing my win in their faces when that was not my intention. And I’m gonna keep doing what I want to do because streaming platforms are public so as long as i’m not breaking any rules I don’t need anyone’s approval of how I’m gonna go into someone’s stream and interact with them postgame.

Sure, disregard any and all explanations and advice. Your intentions don't matter if you convey them poorly and don't realize that the receiver doesn't care to hear it in the first place. Go ahead, lead by example and be unempathetic. This surely will get you the response you want.

What you're doing is the exact opposite of being the better person. When someone is angry, the mature thing to do is to leave them alone to cool off, ESPECIALLY if they have already made it clear they don't want to engage with you (as they did by ragequitting).
Nothing good is ever going to come from pursuing someone who doesn't want to interact with you. Is the streamer in the wrong for ragequitting? Absolutely. But what you're doing is equally bad form.

ignore them if saying gg in someones chat is toxic then say gg ez next time or worse they gave up on hook and ruined their teams game they dont deserve politeness neither does these commenters
