Are Steam launch options bannable?

My friend has issues with launching the game sometimes (specifically initializing shaders) and some people say it is possible to fix this by changing steam launch options.

Also, I saw there was the ability to remove the HUD which I have more of a personal interest in for like creating cinematic shots (which I would only do in a custom game).

Are these types of Steam launch options bannable? I don't want to recommend it to my friend if they are, and I personally wouldn't want to use them either if they are.

    dont think they are since there was a point in time where a lot of content creators were playing the game without a UI.
