Couldn't unhook on Dead Dawg

I was playing on Xbox Series X, but my friend playing on PC also couldn’t unhook from this one specific hook on Dead Dawg Saloon. The prompt was there, but it could only be continuously tapped, it wouldn't fill out and finish the action.
