Whispers In The Dark
New Survivor
Evelyn Reed |
Evelyn Reed's journey began in the picturesque town of Bar Harbor, Maine, where she grew up surrounded by the tranquil beauty of nature. The serenity of her surroundings belied the inquisitive and ambitious nature she developed as a young woman. With a deep-seated curiosity and a passion for uncovering hidden truths, Evelyn pursued a career in journalism, determined to shed light on the world's most enigmatic and secretive subjects. Her investigative skills and dedication quickly made her a prominent figure in the field, known for her ability to unearth and expose concealed stories.
Evelyn’s career took a dramatic turn when she stumbled upon a reference to an ancient artifact known as the Obsidian Mirror. The artifact was said to be a relic of an ancient cult that had used it to access forbidden knowledge and peer into alternate dimensions. According to fragmented historical accounts, the cult had been shrouded in secrecy, using the mirror to gain insights into hidden realms and forbidden lore. Intrigued by the artifact’s mystique and the possibilities it represented, Evelyn dedicated herself to uncovering the truth behind the Obsidian Mirror.
Her investigation led her to a series of cryptic clues and ancient texts, which gradually revealed the dark history of the mirror. As she delved deeper, Evelyn discovered that the Obsidian Mirror had been lost to time, its whereabouts unknown to all but a select few. Driven by her journalistic instincts and the tantalizing promise of uncovering a monumental discovery, Evelyn embarked on a perilous journey to locate the artifact and uncover its secrets.
The search for the Obsidian Mirror took Evelyn to forgotten ruins and hidden archives, each step bringing her closer to the artifact's hidden resting place. However, her pursuit of knowledge came with unforeseen consequences. Upon finally locating the mirror, Evelyn found herself caught in a web of arcane power beyond her comprehension. The mirror, once used by the ancient cult to peer into forbidden dimensions, began to exert its influence, pulling her into an alternate reality governed by the Entity—a nightmarish realm where the laws of reality no longer applied.
In this dark and twisted dimension, Evelyn’s investigative skills and resourcefulness became crucial for her survival. The knowledge she sought to uncover now became a matter of life and death. She had to adapt her journalistic acumen to navigate the perilous environment, using her analytical mind to decipher the Entity’s machinations and find ways to escape. The Obsidian Mirror's power had transformed the landscape into a nightmarish labyrinth, and Evelyn’s ability to stay composed and strategic was essential to outwit the Entity’s forces.

New Killer
The Witch Doctor - Okje Nechik (Ouk-ge Ne-Sheek)
In the dense, ancient forests of what is now Maine, the Nurthulu were a secretive cult deeply devoted to esoteric practices and the pursuit of forbidden knowledge. Central to their dark rituals was an obsidian mirror, an artifact of immense power believed to be a gateway to other dimensions. Crafted from rare, pitch-black stone, this mirror was said to offer glimpses into realms beyond human comprehension, making it both revered and feared. Okje Nechik, the cult’s high priest and Witch Doctor, was the custodian of this mirror, entrusted with interpreting its enigmatic visions and guiding his people.
Okje Nechik's role was one of immense responsibility and power. As the Witch Doctor, he led his tribe in ceremonies that sought to harness the arcane energies revealed through the mirror. His deep knowledge of ancient rituals and his connection to the mirror’s otherworldly powers made him a figure of both awe and dread. The Nurthulu's obsession with the mirror and the knowledge it could unlock drove them to perform increasingly ambitious and dangerous rituals.
The cult's ambition culminated in a ritual designed to draw power from an interdimensional entity. Under a blood-red moon, the Nurthulu gathered for this grand ceremony, placing the obsidian mirror at the heart of their ritual circle. They chanted in long-forgotten tongues, attempting to breach the veil between their world and the dark realms beyond. Okje, channeling the mirror's energy, aimed to bind a powerful entity to their will, believing it would elevate their spiritual and temporal dominion.
However, the ritual went disastrously wrong. Instead of gaining control over the interdimensional forces, the mirror became a conduit for a malevolent dimension. The dark energies that surged forth were uncontrollable, and the cult members were engulfed in a chaotic storm of horror and madness. The entities unleashed from the mirror were hungry for souls, and their arrival brought a plague of suffering upon the Nurthulu, who were quickly overwhelmed and destroyed.
In the aftermath of the catastrophe, the once-sacred mirror lay shattered, its dark power now a source of endless torment. The souls of the cult members, including Okje Nechik, were trapped in a liminal space between dimensions. The Witch Doctor himself was transformed into a spectral being, bound to the dark energies he had sought to master. His physical form was warped, bearing the marks of the shattered mirror and the horrors of the dimension that had been unleashed.
Now a cursed entity, The Witch Doctor roams the forsaken remnants of his former domain, a wraith-like figure driven by an unending quest for vengeance. His existence is marked by the suffering of the souls trapped by the failed ritual and the dark energies that continue to torment him. His staff, once a revered artifact, is now a twisted relic, a symbol of his failure and the corruption of his former power.
