Information for Linux players. Apparently random loss of game window focus while playing.
I've been on Linux for a long time and recently I've started to have issues.
While playing, my window was losing focus, which was of course infuriating.
Today I've found the culprit. Steam notifications popping and making the notifier window blinking was stealing focus. I've disabled any notification in Steam and got no problem anymore.
I'm on a Arch with KDE Plasma.

Steam Overlay in general has caused crashing issues for me in the past on Arch with Steam flatpak. I've found GE-Proton flatpak to work best. Always worth running a flatpak update if applicable.

I had no issue until recently. I don't know what changed.
I'm not a fan of flatpak (or similar) for simple apps. My setup matches the one on the Steamdeck … except for some libs more up to date.
Sooner or later the issue will fix itself.
