What happened with Trickster?
Dude just pulls out his blades and starts ripping. I can dodge all I want, but he's actually ######### GAINING on me, and then eventually I can't dodge them because he's too close.
What even is this? Was this a ghost patch???

they made him base movement speed for some reason, most trickster mains think the changes to his kit made him stale to play

Tricksters movement speed while holding knives has always been 96% and he has two addons that when combines together make him move at 99%. On top of that they changed his base speed to 115%. He also has an IRI add on that grants 1% haste per blade hit as well. Couldve been any number of combinations of add ons.

have you tried playing around pallets? You can't just focus on dodging.

I sometimes forget trickster was changed to a 115 and wonder why I can’t run him around a rock anymore

You just experienced BHVR balancing at its finest. 115 ranged killer who can pull up a gatling gun every 10 secs is fine but a doggie being able to slide off certain walls is deemed over the line.

Pallets? Why?
He gets 6 daggers during pallet animation. He has no reason to respect. Best you can do is fake it and hope he stops, and gain like 3 inches on him. In that situation, he still gets 6 daggers on you, lol.

drop pallets when he is not in your field of vision. trickster's been the same for awhile now.

Other than god pallets, that's still largely a trap. You still have to VAULT that pallet, and he gets 3 or 4 daggers on you now, just from one vault.

if he has enough time to throw 3-4 knifes, why is this any different from huntress releasing a hatchet and injuring in 1? Why is she is not being complained about in this post? secondly, you don't need vault the pallet. you can run forward and continue side-stepping a few knives. there is no real definite play. it depends on the loop.

Then greed the pallet.
Trickster's movespeed while holding knives is still the same, he just doesn't have the throw ramp-up mechanic anymore.

Who knew that buffing a killer who can only work on PC, to help console players (even though he's still unplayable on there), would cause him to be really ridiculous when played well on PC?

The depressing thing is that current Trickster killed all my interest in him. Old New Trickster sucked but at least it was a fun change of pace when I wanted a break from m1 killers.
Being 110 sucked sure, but at least I felt like I had to use my power.
If Trickster is just going to rot they should at least give him bouncey blades base kit :/

Trust me, I do complain about Huntress. I think she's 2nd or 3rd best Killer in the game.
But Trickster literally GAINS on me while throwing. And I had just played like 3 matches against him. And I don't remember him being like that.
So… I asked if he was changed.
Thus… this thread was created. I was seeking information…

The trickster was probably running variety add on that increase his speed. I normally run the iridescent photo card with a build centered around speed. That could have been the reason considering he slow in his main event. If he threw a knife and his speed increase then he was running the photo card.

Since his rework a few months back, no, nothing has changed. That first part however has never changed, other than Main Event being able to be activated after just 8 blades which is probably the stupidest part of his kit.
Apart from that, Trickster believe it or not has very similar counterplay to Nurse, in the sense that you absolutely want to stay out of line of sight for as long as you can, you also ALWAYS want to keep your distance, ESPECIALLY if youre in a deadzone.
You hear that Lullaby? Book it, since it seems people have finally started to realize that stealth perks are actually a good choice on him (His Lullaby works differently than other killers. Its loudest point is actually in the middle of the Lullaby, and it gradually gets quieter as he gets farther/closer)
Ive always loved playing Trickster, but wasnt necessarily too much a fan of playing against him until somewhat recently. Being able to outplay and stay out of sight long enough to be able to start to decay is a very rewarding feeling, and made me appreciate him that much more.
