Partially incorporating addons into the base-kit doesn't lead to more variety
I wish the developers would learn this, because it's getting frustrating. Pretty much every time they incorporate an addon into the killer's base-kit, they only do so partially and then nerf the addon by how much they added to the base-kit.
They think this'll lead to more addon variety, but I don't believe that to be the case. The partial base-kit buff is usually not enough and these addons were also usually run, because there was nothing better to use anyways. That latter part doesn't change with a partial incorporation.
Since there is no incentive to use something else, and the base-kit buff wasn't enough, people usually continue using that very same addon, which is now worse and also makes less of a difference. We just had it with Dracula's shapeshift addons and soon with Unknown's teleport addons.
I wouldn't mind the nerfed addons, if the base-kit effect would be the same as old base-kit + the addon. As it seems, I and probably many other players will just continue using it instead of picking new ones.

It has for me.
I can't speak for everyone, but once part of a addon becomes basekit, I move onto other addons. Knight for example, I'm enjoying his Iri Knights Contract instead of increasing the patrol radius and I still get value.0 -
Add stuff fully base and just rework those add-ons.
