Killer Concept: The Insomniac

Background

: Once a human test subject in a secret Soviet experiment, Subject 47 was exposed to a sleep-inhibiting gas that drove him to madness. The experiment left him in a state of perpetual wakefulness, with heightened senses and a relentless drive to inflict suffering. Now, in the fog, he uses his twisted abilities to hunt down Survivors.

Abilities:

  1. Sleepless Stalker:
    • Effect: The Insomniac can activate Sleepless Stalker to enter a heightened state of awareness. While active, The Insomniac’s terror radius is reduced to zero, and he can see the auras of Survivors who are within 24 meters in the direction he's facing. This ability lasts for 20 seconds and has a cooldown of 40 seconds. This ability is canceled once he attacks a survivor or breaks a pallet/generator/wall
  2. Relentless Assault:
    • Effect: The Insomniac can trigger Relentless Assault to gain a burst of speed and attack rate. For 10 seconds, The Insomniac’s movement speed is increased by 10%, and his attack cooldown is reduced by 25%. Survivors hit during this state suffer from the Deep Wound status effect. This ability has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
  3. Mind Shatter:
    • Effect: The Insomniac can use Mind Shatter to induce hallucinations in Survivors. When activated, all Survivors within 32 meters see false auras of generators, hooks, and other Survivors for 15 seconds, disorienting them and making it harder to coordinate. This ability has a cooldown of 50 seconds.

Unyielding Drive

Effect:

  • Level 1: Each time a Survivor is hooked, The Insomniac gains a token. Each token reduces the cooldown of his power abilities by 2 seconds, up to a maximum of 5 tokens.
  • Level 2: Each time a Survivor is hooked, The Insomniac gains a token. Each token reduces the cooldown of his power abilities by 3 seconds, up to a maximum of 5 tokens.
  • Level 3: Each time a Survivor is hooked, The Insomniac gains a token. Each token reduces the cooldown of his power abilities by 4 seconds, up to a maximum of 5 tokens.

    • Description: The Insomniac’s presence instills a deep sense of paranoia in Survivors.
    • Effect: Survivors within 16/20/24 meters of The Insomniac suffer from the Oblivious status effect, making it harder for them to detect his

Sleepless Agony

Description: The Insomniac’s perpetual wakefulness and torment are projected onto his victims, causing them to suffer from debilitating fatigue.

  • Level 1: Survivors who are within 8 meters of The Insomniac and not in a chase for more than 10 seconds suffer from the Exhausted status effect for 20 seconds
  • Level 2: Survivors who are within 16 meters of The Insomniac and not in a chase for more than 10 seconds suffer from the Exhausted status effect for 25 seconds
  • Level 3: Survivors who are within 20 meters of The Insomniac and not in a chase for more than 10 seconds suffer from the Exhausted status effect for 30 seconds

Mori

The Insomniac grabs the Survivor from behind, pulling them to the ground with a swift and forceful motion.

He then pulls out a syringe filled with the experimental sleep-inhibiting gas. The Insomniac injects the gas into the Survivor’s neck, causing them to convulse violently.

Torment: As the gas takes effect, the Survivor’s eyes widen in terror, and they begin to scream and thrash, experiencing intense hallucinations and agony.

Final Moments: The Insomniac watches coldly as the Survivor’s movements slow and eventually cease. He then stands up, leaving the lifeless body behind, a twisted smile forming on his face as he revels in their suffering.
