Why do keys need charge to open hatch?

With the hatch rework from a while back, keys have gone down in usage. You'll rarely see one in a lobby now. Broken keys already couldn't open a hatch, so what purpose do they serve? Like, sure you can throw on some add-ons for a few seconds of aura reading, but that's it?

Let's go over the fringe case of hatch these days:

*I bring a key into the lobby AND killer doesn't equip Franklin's/Weave Attunement

*All THREE (3) of my teammates are killed before we power gates

*Killer finds hatch first

Do I not deserve to open the hatch because I got careless and used my key a little too long?

If that's the case, at least add to the item description "Opening the Hatch requires 1 charge" like you have for Med-Kits and Tool boxes, please.

It's not like you're even likely to pull a key out of a chest, at least a functioning one. Dull key can't even be used for aura reading unless you pulled it with Ace in the Hole
