Hey BHVR! Hit up Robert Englund! He literally just said he wants to voice the character again!
Please get his man's voice into DBD with a Legendary skin before Robert is gone for good…
Even if all we can get is the voice of Robert, so be it. Just make it happen. This man is 77 years old.

Wouldn’t they still need the actual license holder’s approval to do this? Robert Englund may have provided the voice for a version of Freddy Krueger but he doesn’t own the licensure for that character (or any other version of Krueger), does he?

They don't even have the license to Robert Englund's Freddy. Its the 2010 remake we have in Dbd.

We'd sooner get Robert Englund from Call of Duty than we'd get Robert Englund's Freddy.

BIG! We need his Freddy!
Maybe do it in combination with the nightmare on elm street - themed update that is coming up.
I sincerely hope that the license holders grew a bit more open for ideas over the years.

I don't think we'll ever get the real Freddy so long as bargain basement remake Freddy is in the game : (
I don't know if getting Wes Craven's creations into the game is just exceptionally difficult or something, but I guess it's better than nothing that we have the Freddy and Ghostface that we do have.

I’ve heard Craven’s licenses are hard to acquire because they’re extremely expensive.

OG Freddy would be worth every penny assuming he is voiced like Pinhead was.

If it were to happen, January would be the time to unveil it. I'm not getting my hopes up at this point, but it'd be a treat to hear Englund take up the mantle one last time, especially in in the fog.

We can only hope. Ball is in BHVR's court. Not sure if you can really put a price on something as iconic as the OG Freddy. Whatever amount Wes Craven Estate wants, just give it to them.. You'll make it all back when FNAF comes out anyway.
