Deep rift is lazy
I never hear anyone talk about this. It's just a blue recolor that usually looks worse if not exactly the same as some of the original rift skins. Why would I want a reskin for committing this much time into your battle pass? Trickster from last season was trash same with the nurses death skin and Dracula true form is ugly in blue. I get they're trying to do a theme but at least give us more than just a resin. Make us proud to spend our money on your pass ,not disappointment

While I agree that Bright Blue is ugly, and a Red color scheme would be cooler, the reason the deep rift is merely recolors is purely because of FOMO and honestly I don't blame them based off of how people have reacted to other FOMO cosmetics

Why would I as a consumer want 2 of the same skin clogging up my cosmetics page though is my question?

Think of the deep rift as a "bonus" section. You already completed the pass at that point. It is simply there to give you more options for cosmetics

I wonder if the blue in the deep rift is tied to the teal-ish color everyone slowly turns into in the void.

They could still do recolors but make them less atrocious.

But you have the same cosmetic but in BLUE, that's totally different and you can show people in public matches how much better you are than them. Think of how jealous they will be when they realize they wont have their outfit in blue because they didn't grind the battle pass.
But the real reason is because they wanted to give people who grind to tier 100 a reason to still play.

Would be cool if they switch between colors every rift, ngl blue on every deep rift is getting stale

What I dislike is when the blue Deep Rift version is damn near indistinguishable from the normal version. It's even worse than some of Hillbilly's pants options.
I would like if they'd switch up the colors they use. The blue color can be nice but sometimes it's not aesthetically pleasing and it'd be so much better if they were flexible with their Deep Rift color schemes.

Skully's battle pass deep rift skins were amazing, and I have all of them, the one for Renato, Thalita, doctor, skull merchant, ash Williams and probably another one that I don't remember, I think they just need to choose the right colors, for example, Soma would look amazing in red

The recolors should not have one set color they are. If green fits more make them green, if red fits more make them red or any other colors. Please just take the color that looks the best possible way

I'd prefer the skins in a purple tone instead of blue xD
Outside of that I at least like the idea of giving different color options for them.
