Ruin is everywhere š¤š¤·š»āāļø
Played 8 survivor games today (had enough already to be honest) all 8 games had hex ruin & there have been 17 hexes in total!
This isn't a complaint about either ruin or hexes in general i'm just completely perplexed as to why?
Perhaps its a steamer other than otz doing his challenges I don't watch anyone play games I could just be playing myself but whatever it is its certainly surprised me! & of course anytime someone is in a chase they run right to a gen with the oh look they're on a gen chase them instead! Gotta love team mates!

Thatās weird, I never see hexās anymore and have been trying to get the achievement for blessing a hex for months now, people just donāt use them.

Ruin is absolute garbage nowadays so anytime I see a killer bring it I am happy to know that they have wasted a perk slot. That being said I know Otz recently made his killer perk tierlist and put Ruin top of A tier?? So i guess that might be why more people are running it now

I use ruin only in penty totem builds, and then many good survivors, seeing that I have pentymento, simply ignore ruin so I have no idea why anyone uses it

I saw it quite a bit this weekend, together with Plaything and Pentimento. Three times in a row at one point, so does seem like someone popular has made a build and a lot have also tried it. Or maybe it's just a coincidence!

I wish you luck trying to bless those hexes! Hopefully you'll get it done sooner than later!
As others have suggested pairing with pentimento or plaything might make some sense (kinda) but not seen either of those today! Couple of devour, lots of blood favour, undying of course & a hunteress lullaby (was a dr with full hex build)

Auto kicking gens without using a regression event and not needing to take the time to kick is still a good perk. If you could keep the hex up the entire game it'll help out quite a bit.
It really just suffers being a hex which is a problem all hex perks have.

Ruin is so terrible you can basically ignore it.

I still think the tradeoff is awful, if the regression was 150% I could see the value, but as of now most people can ignore looking for ruin and not feel the effect of it

except its not

Some content creator makes a video and people just copies his build without doing the simple math to check how garbage ruin actually is. Always trust maths, they never lie.

I don't know about Ruin, but Hex perks have definitely become more popular recently. With all the slugging going on at the moment as well, maybe it's time to start running Soul Guard.

Thank you lol, I was actually expecting to see at least a Crowd Control or 2 because of the changes but so far no luck š¤

Despite the nerf, Ruin is still a good perk, especially on killers that can down survivors fast or harass them from generators. Having the passive regression without doing anything is really huge because even when a generator loses a little bit of regression, it is still a slowdown for doing nothing. Hex perks in general are also great perks. Blood Favour, Crowd Control, Devour Hope Wretched Fate are really difficult to ignore in the long term.
If totem spawns were better and totems were more difficult to find, Hex builds were more common. I really hope the developers will rework the totem spawns because Hex perks are funny and good Perks.

It definitely isn't A tier. Reasons why you take what he says with a grain of salt.
I have had run a lot starting a month ago with thantaphobia. Both easily counterable.

Hens might have been one the catalyst? He released a video a bit ago showing some meta builds and Ruin was in quite a few of them. Not just Ruin but some hexes in general. It was a fun video with some interesting matches.
Edit: It's hard to say though as I've seen quite a few streamers running hex's. It might just be getting popular in general.

This odd. The thread date says it was created today.

I still think that ruin is a pretty bad perk. Yeah, it perked up (heh) with the change to gen tapping, but its most often not worth the effort to go out of your way to look for it. Sure, if you just stumble upon it you could cleans it, but that always brings the danger of a Pentimento with it.

Hexes have been making a comeback. I've been bringing Small Game on occasion and pretty much always get some sort of value.
