This should be a feature for Chucky
Idk what happened with Chucky in this hotfix, but if this is a bug then it should be made into a feature for Chucky as scampering before was essentially useless
So for the devs seeing this post I advise you to please keep this changes to Chucky

yes that would be really cool although I already see people complaining you can't counter him anymore xD

At the moment definitely, he needs changes to make him more counterable and fix a lot of bugs while giving him better quality of life to his scamper

I mean he would be a lot better to play against if his cooldown wasn't still bugged I think xD

it is almost like dev agree that current scamper was useless so they're stealth changing it. now i can finally counter god pallets like RPD pallet that purely blocks your way.

There is a counter for the god pallet, break it.

that is NOT a counter.

Sure but only if they bring back his M2 cooldown to 18 secs. He already is in the top 5 most poorly designed killers in DBD, he doesn't need any more crutches for free.

Current scamper feels pretty useless MOST of the time since your forced to basically keep running straight. The only times I get value from it is in spots like hallways where the survivor tosses a god pallet and can only go straight.

Looks interesting, but I think it will still be difficult enough to hit survivors

I absolutely want his scamper to be better and to move away from this constant dash gameplay, and I've wanted this as a feature where you can continue your slice and dice after a scamper for ages to be good...
However I must ask... what does a survivor do to counter here? He literally full slice and dice dashed twice in a row and perfectly hugged the tile.
There doesn't seem to any safety for the survivor anywhere... you can't juke the hit cause Chucky can flick, you can't leave the tile cause he will just reach you anyway, you can't double back because he can just turn back away from the pallet and hit you anyway from the other side, and you can't use either pallets or windows cause he's gonna hit you either way before you can move anywhere...
The only thing I think you could hope for is the scenario you have enough distance with time to to throw the pallet, and as he commits to the scamper you run back the same side he came from and hope Chucky screwed up his looking angle to not be able to turn back far enough to each you.
Course he recovers so fast, you're probably getting m1'd anyway.

that why it would be good if you had 0.5 second time to have full control to turn in general direction that survivor is going. the way i use it is i run towards pallet as survivor vaults, i vault pallet with scamper then i immediately press m1 attack as soon as i finished scamper. it is frame perfect survivor vaults pallet → you vault pallet as soon as survivor finishes their vault and than m1. it works sometimes but overall, scamper isn't that good. there is very low creativity with his power right now. if scamper was more useful, there would be more ways to approach loops to get a hit with chucky.
I still find him super fun. a few games of dracula and few games of chucky a day is awesome.

i´m almost sure they fixed a very old bug where you would vault the limit of the limit of a vault, look down and turn around (or something crazy like that, but it was very very easy to do even on consoles)
you could literally save the slice and dice for later, like a nurse blink (or something like that, i don´t remember exactly)
