Vile Endgame Survivors
You know, I remember when I was a kid, I played Soccer. When the game was done, we always crossed to the other team and said good game while giving each other a kind of high five.
Lord. If I play killer, if I do poorly, I get accusations of trash at least a third of the time. Sometimes a GG and dont worry you'll get better, and I appreciate that. But a third of the time I'm trash, etc.
If I do well, things like EFF YOU etc. Sometimes GG too.
If I "camp," or "tunnel" I'm trash etc. If I run NOED I'm trash. Doesn't seem to matter.
So, this last game I played, I hooked someone, turned around, and there was a Meg with some shiny glowy stuff on her shirt. I think it was from the halloween event or something, but i'd started playing right after. So I stopped, started chasing her, she runs off, I come back, thinking she's baiting me from the hook so someone else will rescue.
This goes on and on, so of course, I got one kill, but beat two of their team mates in BPs, and as I started typing GG, the instant the chat comes up, I get the NOED and camping trash all over again, and when I replied with a single mispelled word they spend the next several minutes mocking me for the mispelling.
I know I've posted about this before. But damn, how hard is it to be a good sport? To say GG to the other team? If I did something that's illegal then thats one thing, but unless its end game I dont even camp... unless I see someone near the hook, which I did, and they keep telling me no one was there. I guess I imagined it?
Survivors do things I hate too, but I don't spout out about toxic survivor crap unless they start on me first. But seriously, come on, there is no reason to verbally attack anyone in the game unless the hacked or something. Just because you don't like a tactic doesn't mean it is wrong.
Sorry to reiterate a point I've already done in another thread, Im just starting to get really frustrated with the verbal assaults and bad sportsmanship I see in this game.
For what its worth, I see it from killers to, though not as much; if the killer wins solidly, sometimes get an "Ez ur trash' comments from the killer to.
Its actually starting to ruin my enjoyment of the game....

I don't even bother typing in endgame anymore as either role. I usually just see what my opponent had and then leave.
Also didn't know you could turn chat off lol

It's part of online gaming unfortunately, each game has those who like to try and belittle others and blame the other side of even their team mates for their lack of skill.
If you met any of these people in real life I would bet the majority would be really quiet and awkward where as with online they can be who they want and don't care about the other person as they have no emotions it's just a character they ever see, they can let out all their insecurities on random people as what's going to happen to them in reality?
Its a sad state of affairs but one everyone has to deal with at some point, people shouldn't l have to but they do.1 -

if its ps4 you can turn off messaging from non friends. It doesnt stop them from sending a friend invite with a message on why they want to be friends (although maybe they can turn that off too), but yeah, and for PC,, you can click on those side arrows next to the chat window. It only remembers it for that session, but at least for that session its off.
Since you can do that in the lobby though you will never see the chats really for the nonce.

Guys, I apologize for whining. I'm just frustrated. The games I play are usually single player and MMOs, so this kind of behavior is foreign to me... but I understand its more common in pvp oriented games.
I will be turning off chat in the future. Disappointing, as I like to talk to others, but just not worth the grief.

Just keep it on and never respond, drives em nuts. Even better, politely antagonize so they sling more reportable language at you, then you can have playstation ban em.

@Morfedel don't feel too bad man this game was fun the first year even with swf then OchiDo and noob3 came along and taught survivors how to be as disgusting as possible. They actively try to humiliate the killer and because of swf and the dev's favoring survivors this game isn't survival horror any more it's basically Scooby-Doo1

Ochido is literal scum of the earth, but noob3 isn’t really that toxic. He uses absolutely everything at his disposal, but he’s not toxic per say. Ochido is ######### though

Yesterday I killed three rather easily, he had 3 gens remaining so after looking for the hatch which I couldnt find bloody swamp, I messaged the last guy telling him just to do gens as I'm not patient enough for hatch games, he said ok, he escaped through the hatch and started insulting me, calling me trash, arsehole ect.
Makes it hard to be a nice killer, if someone DC I normally let the last person escape and such, some are nice and say thanks and such but there are some seriously bothersome kids0 -
Well, after all that, I just won against a 4 man swf. I played a killer I was much more familiar with though, the trapper. Was trying to do daily with leatherface, I know he and billy are supposed to be good but I'm terrible with them. Just played a 4 man SWF that I won, the last disconned, and two others sat there hurling insults at me. Having won, it didnt sting so much, then won a second with trapper just now.
I guess the saltiness when I lose is worse than when I win, because its adding insult to injury, but I think I'll stick with my original plan and just keep chat turned off.

god I know, right? I used to be nice when some team had a disconnect or something, but after having faced off against so many toxic survivor groups, I have little mercy anymore.
Seriously, I think the best thing they could do is just remove SWF and then balance the game based on solo queue. I think it would make the game much more easily balanced AND cut out some of the more toxic elements of the game.
Plus, voice communications allows SWF to completely neutralize some perks of the killers, which really just isn't fair.

yeah this is the first game i've gotten so much hate too, so I feel you. I've played multiplayer games and no one has really gone to the lengths ppl on dbd go to write you hate mail. But there are those who have been positive too. It needs to change, ppl need to be more civilize about loss.
