Cosmetic Gifting In The Near Future?

So cosmetic gifting has been unwinding in many games of many different genera’s. With the future of DbD, console and pc- can we or should we expect cosmetic gifting? Will we be able to gift cross-platform or just the platform you’re on? I, and I’m sure many of you guys think it would be a great addition to the game.
