What's wrong with healing others on Ps4?

Lately there is s.th wrong with healing other survivors. When I unhooked them and I try to heal it doesn't even let me heal them until 2-3 sec later and then often it just stops while healing as if the other survivor interrupted it 1 or 2 times so I have to start over again. :/
(I'm playing with friends so I know that they didn't try to run or pressed a button)
