Flesh Water Courts: a random killer idea
For those who don't know, the Flesh Eater Courts are a playable faction in the tabletop wargame Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. Their whole lore has a lot of depth but to summarise them they are cannibalistic Ghouls who are under a grand delusion that believe themselves to be Noble Knights with their way on viewing reality. Basically what if Pyro (Team Fortress 2) and Leatherface fused and formed an army.
What got me thinking about this idea was seeing Warhammer 40K suggested in a poll a while ago and personally speaking I'd want a killer that stands out with what mechanics they can bring to the table. And a delusion mechanic would be something interesting to work with which is why I personally would like the idea tapped into and these dudes are a perfect culprit no matter what unit you base your killer off of - the unit could offer other mechanics depending on which one you chose.
Of course, I should put a disclaimer: I'm not going to think this is 100% going to happen, 40K would most likely have a slot before AoS is ever considered, not to say 40K may or may not ever get a chance. This post is more so an open ended discussion on the idea of a delusion mechanic and if the whole macabre schizophrenic Ghoul would be considered thematic for DBD? I also wanna get more people aware of the Flesh Eater Courts as a concept, they're really cool! I'd suggest looking into them if you don't know anything so if you decide to engage you'd have a more formal opinion on whether or not this idea is appropriate or not.
