The issues with Invocation Perks and how to fix them
The invocation Perk showed us that there is a huge issue currently with the Invocation Perks themselves, that being Invocation stacking…
And I don't mean it in a "those perks are too op together", I mean it in the sence of them not stacking at all, they don't work like boons, where all of them get applied at once if you have more…
After you finish your Invocation, you have to sit through another again if you wanna apply both! Which I think is quite bad, but there is a way to fix this quite easily!
If you have more than one Invocation, each Invocation adds +15 seconds to the whole Invocation duration, so it would go like this:
- One Invocation Perk: 60 seconds
- Two Invocation Perks: 75 seconds
- Three Invocation Perks: 90 seconds
- Four Invocation Perks: 105 seconds
I think it's fair to allow stacking since you are gonna get hefty penalties anyways.
Speking of penalties, I quite understood why they gave the Weaving Spiders a Broken Status Effect downside, you're trading your time that you could spend in a chase for Gen time.
But I do not understand why it is the same for the new Invocation Perk… Wouldn't it be more fitting if it applied the Blindness Status Effect? Like the effect could go like this:
- If the Killer scares a crow they are revealed to the whole team for 2 seconds.
- If you scare the crow you suffer from the Blindness Status Effect for 10 seconds.
Or what if it revealed your Aura instead?!
- If the Killer scares a cros they are revealed to the whole team for 2 seconds.
- If you scare the crow your aura is revealed to the Killer and you suffer from the Blindness Status Effect for 6 seconds.
I think this would also be an interesting drawback!
Just please I don't want every Invocation to just apply Broken, that feels a bit restrictive… But what do you think?

i think a trade would be fair, like, if he scares a crow he´s revealed, if you do, you´re revealed, giving another penalty on top of it wouldn´t be so bad imo, because your entire team can see the killer

Invocations are meant to be trial-alterng effects. We shouldn't have too many of them stack; just make the individual ones stronger basekit. Weaving is fine, Crows may be a problem like old OoO. If you must have them stack, then make it so it can be desecrated and undone or stopped before it starts like a Boon - let the Killer desecrate the Invocation circle, or better yet give them something they can activate over it like a Hex they have to light.
