EVIL DIES TONIGHT!!!
If you get the reference, then please don't murder me, I actually liked the film...
Tombstone piece has been a glaring issue for 8 years. It. Is. Time. It. Changes.
It's still awfully strong in this iteration. Despite being nerfed on the surface, the addon is still as strong, if not stronger in some situations.
With the increased stalking amount, Myers is able to pull his murderous and frankly broken trick off FOUR times. It's possible to fully charge t3 on one survivor alone. This is ridiculous. The longer time is not much of an issue due to its long time partner in crime : the green stalking speed addon Judith Myers Memorial. (Which is not problematic at all by itself)
I was able to 4man mori on Ptb with only corrupt and lethal.
Changing the requirements to kill will not change this addon and it's reign of tyranny that has only resulted in one thing. Myers not receiving the boost he deserves.
This post is not only feedback to rework this addon but also a way to collect ideas for a new tombstone piece to emerge: here is my idea
Tombstone piece
- The shape is able to transition to evil within 1 from evil within 2 at will. When in evil within 1 any survivor that spots the shape is revealed with killer instinct for as long as they see him and the shape does not enter chase with them.
T2 is currently extremely simple to achieve, making T1 almost irrelevant to exists. This addon would enable Myers to use T1 as an option mid match. By making it an addon instead of a basekit feature, his simple nature remains untouched and it follows the trend of other purple addons in changing the playstyle on a fundamental level. With the increased stalk, Myers will have no problems getting out of T1 and start his normal chase shenanigans. This addon also enables more strategic gameplay with Myers having to reevaluate when to go into T1 and when to build towards T3.
Your ideas?
Please feel free to post your ideas for a healthier tombstone piece, so that evil can finally come home.

Just imagine being chased by a Myers around a jungle gym while he is in T2 just for the music to go completely silent and him coming around the corner in T1.

I also think it should get further nerfs.
This is my idea of how they should do it:
New mechanic:
• Survivors' stalk points now recharge passively when preforming actions or being hooked.
Tombstone Piece (Nerf):
• Now, you can only kill a survivor after fully stalking them. The survivor gets notified when they become fully stalked.
• Now also increases the speed at which Stalk recharges on survivors by 50%

I think with the buffs to stalk amiunt in this update, the first effect would be kind of redundant, dont you think? From testing I had no issues with stalking someone to the max at all. Even wgem going for the 4th mori with tombstone piece.
The second idea sounds like a good nerf, however I think it would make the addon so bad that it's almost unusable. I'd rather go away from the insta - kill this addon is known for.

I'm surprised they kept this addon at all. As for how strong it is, I cannot attest that since I haven't played on the PTB yet but I don't think this addon is healthy.
I would prefer anything over the current Tombstone Piece. The idea to allow Myers to fall back into tier 1 is interesting and would make for a much more fun addon than Tombstone Piece.

I like it, gives more relevance for Evil Within 1 to exist beyond game start and Scratched Mirror, and is interesting to play.
My personal suggestion would have been:
Tombstone Piece
- Change Evil Within gain multiplier at close range to 1.
- Change Evil Within gain multiplier at long range to 0.4.
Played smart this would mean survivors end up unsure which version of Myers they are facing, as could actually feed him more without realising it.
Alternatively if the Mori is an absolute must since it's a "Tombstone" add-on, make it so a survivor has to be 100% stalked to execute. That's not as easy to do as one would think, and stops Myers from just immediately deleting someone from the game.

EVIL DIES TONIGHT! Halloween Kills was Myers at his most BRUTAL. Watched it in theaters twice with my friends.
Removing the ability to outright delete a Survivor in the match is abhorrent as only enables bland and quick games with very limited interaction between killer and survivors. That ability should be exclusively to Mori and Judith's Tombstone, imo and even then as @UndeddJester mentioned, it should only be when the survivor is 100% juiced. Having a Myers juice one survivor and immediately pop off on another survivor not even having the chance to escape and delete them is a bit much; I also fancy the idea of reworking it to where you simply gain more or even replenish the Stalk bank on survivors who are 100% already.3 -
I think this is the best solution for tombstone. Removing it like others suggest would be terrible.

I got your reference. Love Halloween Kills. Mikey at his most brutal.

Only thing i'm opposed to is anything that even remotely entertains the idea of removing Myers' ability to kill Survivors by hand via the tombstone addons, as it's far too important of an element to Myers' character to lose.
As far as balancing it however, they can do with it as they wish.

The ending was amazing.

I'm not against the tombstone itself. It's an iridescent addon with an extremely strong effect, as it should be.
The tombstone piece however is a lot stronger (makes no sense) and just straight up unfun to play as and against. The tombstone has indications that it is in play. The pieces effective has no indications. Especially now, that you can get it off on one survivor alone.
I want Michael to finally get the improvement he deserves. This addon, similarly to Clowns pinky finger, obviously holds him down.
I think it needs to change for Myers sake.

- Fun is subjective and not a valid argument, as one can easily say the opposite.
- So give it an indication and make it harder to obtain the effect.

Reworking Tombstone Piece into doing anything other than killing someone with your own hand is anything but an improvement in my eyes, in fact i'd call it nothing short than destroying one half of an essential element to Myers' character via his addons.
I also do not believe the effect itself holds Myers down, only the requirement on how to obtain the effect does, which can be balanced.
More importantly, the effect by itself is authentic for Myers to have and making a character less authentic to play as or against is the worst thing you can do to them no matter what and i firmly stand by that. I already had witness Chucky lose some of his authenticity when bhvr removed manual scamper, i don't want to see the same happen to Myers' with any of his tombstone addons.
In fact, i'd say any addons that isn't Scratched Mirror or either tombstones are better choices for any potential reworks.
I think it needs to change for Myers sake.
And i don't, because no other gameplay effects can do Myers' justice like killing with his own hands can and i would much sooner see either of the tombstone addons get nerfed to oblivion than i'd see one or both reworked into something else entirely.

He'd still maintain this effect with the tombstone though.
My addon idea is also very much related to Myers identity.
