Please do not change Demos Lifeguard Whistle Addon

in 8.4.0 PTB Feedback

The Addon Change completely kills Totem focused Bulids on Demogorgon. It removes fun gimmick Builds. And the Lifeguard Whistle on it's own isn't that strong neither. It gives decent Information, but that's it.

There are not many Killers that can protect Totems well, exept Demo, Heg and Trapper. Like do Trappers Traps get a Nerf next time, so that they can't be placed near Totems? Just please don't change Demos Lifeguard Whistle Addon, so we can still have Diversity in Playstyles.

    Wasn't that the intention? I also heard from OhTofu the other night that it was used, not only for Devour related reason, but also to camp the basement, in a way. like, have an active portal nearby shack/main building with a basement just for demo to get back to it to possibly tunnel or get the other person.

    This addon has needed a rework for a long time.

    Apparently we still need to reinforce that the killer's objective is survivors, not inanimate pve objects like gens or totems.

    Devourgorgon is awful. Keeping totems up indefinitely is not how they where intended.

    This addon absolutely enabled you to keep your totem up the entire game.

    If this change deletes using hexes on demo, then I dont know what to tell you other than play hexes on any other killer and see how that feels.

    It pretty much allowed you to reliably keep your totems up for the entire game once you had your portals set up, through both perfect information on them and being able to teleport to them at a moment's notice.

    Sure, Trapper can trap his totems too, but traps can be disarmed much more quickly and if someone disarms that trap he still has to walk over there if he wants to actually do anything about it.

    Yeah? Where do you think survivors go if not their objective and secondary objectives? One facilitates the other.
