50% add on to base game for Ghost face is appropriated BUT

Let’s be honest here, I think I speak for most of the player base when I say Ghost Face is one of the weakest killers in game - yet with a large player base.

If I remembered correctly, he has (almost always) top 10 appearance rate, yet some of the lowest kill rates.

Some of his colleagues can fly over window vaults, teleport, straight up Mori, etc. GF here have no ability that help him in chase whatsoever, and other teammates can easily take hits for the marked human unlike myers - please be a bit generous here.

They need to be more generous than this and it makes me happy that people are pointing this out all across these forums. I really hope the Devs are listening.

And most Ghostface are still just going to run those same add ons any way because the effects are just to good to pass up. Especially a 14 second cooldown!

Hmmm… Give him some arbitrary haste boosts.

One buff I'd LOVE to see is that if he is crouched, chases are not initiated. This would help him actually sneak up on survivors. At the moment, he can be slowly moving while crouching, but if any survivor just happens to tap sprint, suddenly chase is initiated and suddenly the survivor knows you're there despite them having NO idea previously. Either that, or they need to buff killers where chase is only initiated if the survivor actually sees the killer. This would allow killers to actually sneak up if they don't have a TR.

As for the PTB buffs, we are having the same issue that we had the last time they minor buffed him. Ghostie is already weak. We have two addons (philly and matchbook) that are essentially vital for him to be usable. With this buff, they are making the addons partially basekit while nerfing the addons themselves, but the basekit part is not as effective as running the two addons pre-change. The problem here is that this change will effectively do nothing. Since only using the basekit changes (and not using the addons) is weaker than what the original unnerfed addons were, we are in a position that ghostie will STILL need to run those same addons to be on par with how it was pre-change.

For example, let's say there is a vital power that is strength 5. There is an addon that gives +4 strength. That gives a total of 9. Then a patch comes which bumps the power to 7, but reduces the addon to +3. While the basekit buff to 7 sounds nice, you're still 2 LESS than you originally were, so of course you're still forced to use the addon. While it's nice with the addons, you end up getting a strength of 10, the whole choice is an illusion. You're still effectively forced to use the addon. Otherwise, you're straight up weaker only taking the basekit buff.

The whole point of making these addons partially basekit is to give room to use more interesting addons. However, if you do this, you're weaker than before on what those addons did. If we want people to feel that they csb move away from these 2 vital for success addons, then simply make philly and matchbook basekit entirely and either rework the addons or remove them.

Long story short, even after the change, people will still need to run the addons.

One other issue I have is that ghostie has a major problem - he has little to no chase potential, and his power can be 100% removed the entire match if you have a survivor just keep tabs on him. He's effectively an m1 killer with questionable and unreliable power with no chase potential. If he marks someone, anyone good at looping getting to any loop can essentially eliminate him as a threat. I'd really prefer to see ghostie get a minor speed boost for a few seconds after exposing a survivor. This gives him a chance to go after a survivor that he had marked without spending the next 5 days at the jungle gyms. Essentially, drop leg knife sheath should have been the basekit buff.

Most ghosties will try to max out power cooldown and stalk speed regardless since it's so vital. With the PTB, the basekit changes essentially are pointless since basekit changes are weaker than also running the addons. Long story short, the PTB changes almost nothing - people will still have to run philly and matchbook anyway. Considering that people will be running philly and matchbook anyways, my suggestion is to instead make dropleg basekit. That way, ghosties will at least get some sort of buff along side the "mandatory" philly and matchbook.

Another fun idea is if ghostie is crouched, any survivors nearby currently interacting with something has their aura revealed. This would help him set up an ambush without leaning around the corner giving your position away only to find out the survivor was on the far side of the gen. Results? All that time sneaking up goes to waste, you get no stalk out of it, and the survivor sees you over the gen due to their third person camera position, and they just high tail it out of there.
