Good HoundMasters will never use Search
Houndmaster Search is so bad at medium to long range searches the detection radius is 5-10 meter which is impossible by itself but the hound has its own lullaby that alerts the survivors when hes coming.
Houndsense is a whole another can of worms if you somehow get a search off Houndsense doesn't last long and gives deepwounds when injured for some reason.
Search trail speedboost when searching the dog makes a trail that the hound master can follow to speed her up however its only 5% and ends when you step off the trail or the dog finishes running to the end.
That being said Houndmaster is Very weak and held back by the janky ai the dog has and low numbers and could use the following buffs.
Buffs
Increase the growth rate of the search detection radius by 4x and remove the lullaby.
Houndsense duration increased by 20 seconds
Speedboost increased to 10% and lingers for 3 seconds after stepping off the path
