Amazing patch, very ambitious, 9.5/10!

I played the PTB, and I wanna say, because I think it's extremely important:

This patch is ABSOLUTELY amazing, with VERY ambitious ideas, such as Shoulder the burden, many killer balancements, and perk balancements!

The Houndmaster is very cool, with many possibilities in the future, that can be applied to the power!

Tho, it's not void of criticism:

  • Houndmaster seems weak (other than janky) and needs buffs,
  • Shoulder The Burden is way too oppressive and OP against a really coordinated group, and it's very bad solution to "fix tunneling", and doesn't really incentivise killers to chase different survivors who have 0 hook states. We all know a new core game mechanic needs to be here instead of this.
  • Myers' stalking is too slow from close up.
  • New Invocation seems pretty weak, and the effect not strong at all for the 60 seconds wasted. Massive buffs deserved.
  • Clean Break is too difficult to activate, and needs a buff.
  • The new Scourge Hook: Jagged Compass should give the effect of the other Scourge hook perks IMMEDIATELY when hooking on a "normal" hook, instead of having to wait for the next hook. This undermines the perk's effectiveness, since by itself is quite useless, considering the effect really isn't that good, because most of the times you already know which generator has the most progress if you have decent enough macro knowledge. Rare are the situations you don't know which is the most progress gen.

Shoulder the Burden does not seem too oppressive against coordinated groups at all to me. If anything, it should lose the exposed status effect downside so that the perk could actually see some decent use in normal lobbies as well. This perk has the potential to be great against a tunneling killer, but since most killers will also proxy camp, I don't see this perk being any good with the exposed effect.

I do agree that this patch in general is great. The new killer seems pretty awesome, she's a lot of fun, just might need some buffs here and there. Nothing too crazy though, I want her to stay fun to go against as well.

The Vecna changes are particularly exciting for me. I would have preferred if they would have nerfed the effectiveness of Mage Hand a bit instead of nerfing it's cooldown, but other than that, all the buffs and nerfs he is receiving seem great. Can't wait to be able to use Fly much more often, since it's my favorite ability of his.

I agree about the stalking up close multiplier. It should be bumped up to at least 0.7

Shoulder The Burden is still good if the killer proxy camps, because saving a hooked survivor from imminent death, even if you might go down for it, is always worth it. If the killer waits for the Exposed, you can fake the hook rescue, get hit by the killer, and during the cooldown use Shoulder The Burden. If they hit you again, catching the unhooked survivor might take a very long time.
