Houndmaster's dog ability is way too clunky
This killer had a lot of potential but the dog ability is way too clunky and buggy right now. She feels more frustrating to play than Hillbilly during his overheat era. When you're playing killer every second matters and the technical aspects of this killer make you waste so much time.
First of all, the search function is essentially useless right now. It doesn't snap to generators easily enough and you waste so much time trying to get the marker to go where you want it to go. Especially on controller it's a nightmare to control. And the reward for using it successfully is not worth the time you waste.
Also when you're walking on the path there should be the haste icon as an indicator, half the time I couldn't tell if it was actually working or not. The haste should also linger for a few seconds when you get off the path like most haste effects.
As for the chase function, the AI and hitbox of the dog is really bad at the moment and way too punishing. You have to be 100% accurate at all times or it won't register as a hit. There were so many instances where the dog would literally touch the survivor or even go through the survivor and it didn't recognize that as a hit.
Which is ironic because one thing it always recognized were random objects in the environment. There were so many instances where the dog would just get stuck on objects. With the amount of clutter on the maps it's not surprising. He also does not work on any sort of elevation so will just sit there even when there's a clear path. Sometimes he'll get stuck at a pallet too instead of jumping over it.
It's just way too buggy right now. A very high risk no reward killer. Will require a huge overhaul for her to be a viable option.
Side note: The dog's panting is too loud and very and distracting.
