Are Medics the new Escapists?
In the previous version of 2v8, Escapists were the favorite class of SWF loopers, as they could give each other Sprint Bursts on command, and I often saw them swooping in to clutch their friends out of bad positions and extend chases unreasonably.
I just witnessed something very broken in my latest match, where a Medic ran up to an injured Medic in chase, took a hit for them, and then they both activated their ability for an instant heal on both of them.
This really shouldn't be a thing. At the very least, please make it so that the medic ability heal caps at 95% so that it can't be weaponized like this.

Honestly, you need 2 medic to do that, in a 2v8 environnement, and they need to both use their power on a 2min CD. It doesn't seem very broken to me.

It's a SWF problem. Escapists were fine last game unless they were SWF, and that's when the problems started. Escapist got nerfed for that very reason.
This has a longer cooldown than the stacked Sprint Bursts, but it's also more powerful towards undoing killer progress than them.

EEspecially with a coordinated killer team, someone can be 2 tapped regardless

I haven't played it enough yet, but Medic and guide needed some love they were the weakest classes last go round.
Survivors seem to have this issue of healing under hook, which is bad because 2v8 has lots of fast killers and we all kbow cage logic by now so I think it's fine that Medic is better. I think Survivors should start relocating more though because praying that a Blight won't beeline a cage is rather optimistic

It's becoming pretty obvious Medic is the meta class this time around... survivors are catching on fast and bringing 4 medics every game for the 2 pop heal.
The easy fix is to make it so it heals 50% of your remaining progress the same way as Reactive Healing instead of a flat 50%. It'd still be plenty strong but it wouldn't be quite the same level of silliness it is now.

I feel like the class that can consistently do instant gens if you stack 3-4 people on them is the meta class, with Medic gracefully taking second place. It doesn't matter if you can heal if you still get 2-tapped by the Nurse/Spirit/Blight/Huntress wombo combo (apparently Slinger Trapper and Wraith are in 2v8?)

I'm still seeing 4 escapists (maxed out on role). I called it in the original 2v8's run, and I called it again now. You just can't beat Sprint Burst + Windows base.

Thats fair, I guess if you've got people that can hit lots of great skillchecks and chain as a 4 pack it can get nutty...
I was more meaning as a simple effect that any goomba survivor can pull off 😅

all classes are strong for different reasons. i think medic is strong because you can heal reset mid-chase and at cages. Scout is strong because you can avoid pincer and 2vs1's by seeing killer a ahead of time with aura and utilize the environment against the killer. Iron will plays into that. escapist is strong because you can sprint burst ahead of the killer and get out of dangerous scenario's and more experienced loopers can 99% sprint burst mid-chase. Guide is strong because it punishes killer for spreading hooks and if stacked, it can do generators very quickly.
Medic & Guide are strongest for swf/coordinated play while scout+escapist are better on average for soloq play.

Medic and Scout are the most popular in my teams. Today I was playing whatever class was lacking and I pretty much played Guide or Escapist every game.
