Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

You can’t do both Invocation perks at the same time?!

The new ‘Invocation: Treacherous Crows’ perk already seemed really weak and niche but I thought, hey at least we can use it in tandem with ‘Weaving Spiders’. But apparently that’s not the case

You have to activate them both separately, so that’s 120 seconds in the basement for both perks

I figured Invocation perks would work like Boons, or Scourge hooks where all affects are used at once, but apparently that would be too strong?? Just seems a bit disappointing and has cemented this new perk in F tier, shame.

For real, running both was the only reason I was gonna bother

On top of this, I thought the salt circle was supposed to burn up after an invocation was used, so you couldn't use it twice?

I might be pulling that out of my backside but I was sure that was a thing... which makes this even less logical.

Has to be a bug... Can't be intentional... Right? 🥺

I thought it might be a bug at first but I checked the perk description and Weaving Spiders says “press ability button 1” while Treacherous crows says button 2

    So clearly it’s intentional…

Wow, so yeah. I mean a streamer I mentioned it to did kind of make a good point… I don't 100% agree, but I think I see BHVR probably though as he does… When we have 4 Invocation perks in the future, it will get very broken (pun not intended) since the effects are permanent changes to the trial, not able to be cleansed/snuffed like Hexes/Boons.

That's unfortunate. If someone starts the match injured, I often take a quick stop in the basement after my first chase, and that's given me some free hooks a number of times. Running No Mither makes the permanent broken status less awful, but I think the risk/reward for invocatuons isn't good enough for most players since the broken status is so crippling. If they could be done together, they might be strong enough. I really thought the intention was that they would be done together.

Yes, this is most likely intentional. I guess they thought that doing multiple invocations at once would be too good,, because you get the Downside of being broken only once. However, while being broken is the biggest flaw of Invocation-Perks, they have so many other disadvantages… They take too long, their effects are lackluster and they make the Survivor an easy target. Especially if Survivors bring No Mither to have less disadvantage due to the Broken-Status.

And yes, I already saw a person doing two Invocations in a row. Big question - was the game a win for the Survivors?… I guess most know the answer.

I think if they want to keep the route that they you cannot do two Invocations at once, they should at least let Invocations be faster after the first one. E.g. first one is 60 seconds, second one is 45 seconds (and if they want to go that route, third one 30 seconds, fourth one 15 seconds).

2 similar condition, garbage perks can't be ran together? Man, that's crazy. These perks are both bad but crows is absolute crap. IF you were going to run weave you might as well run crows but they don't let you LMAO

classic behaviour stuff. If you're gonna make a crap perk, make it as terrible as possible.
