Houndmaster chase just doesn't work sometimes

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
The Chase ability of the Houndmaster just completely fails to function sometimes. You sometimes get the smoke effect of the dog teleporting, so I assume the game thinks the dog is too far away, but this happens when you have the ability available and didnt even use the search recently, so it should be close enought. And if it wasn't it shouldn't give me access to the ability.
PLATFORM: PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
- Play a game as the Houndmaster
- Keep using the chase ability
- Notice that rarely it doesn't work.
