Hacking Nurse - Matchmaking ban
I have just faced a hacking Nurse three times in the past hour. All survivors are placed on a hook within 10 seconds of the match starting and when I get back to the lobby, I'm hit with a matchmaking ban and the Nurse spams their Twitch URL in chat. Since this has happened 3 times, my ban is now at 15 minutes and I'm hesitant to play as it will only increase.
How is this fair? Why am I receiving a matchmaking ban if I'm not disconnecting? Why isn't the person hacking banned instead? The game is registering that we're being sacrificed, so why is it counting as a DC?

I guess these are the server checks BHVR was talking about they will implement against cheaters. But it's just bugged, because of tradition and bans the wrong person.

You'd think server checks would be able to tell whether you died or disconnected.

To be fair, these server checks are probably as well implemented as all of the cheat protection in this game as a whole.
That's why it's still a fully manual process. I have NEVER experienced a cheater being automatically banned. Video proof, ticket reporting and a detailed description.
Nothing will change in the near future, as sad as that may sound, it is a hard fact.

If I had to guess, I would say it is implemented like this: "If match duration is less than 3min for whatever reason -> consider it as DC and award penalty to player"

Bet the nurse didn't get the DC penalty cause of the points for hooking and downing with the cheat.

She's definitely not getting any penalty. I got the same Nurse three times so she's been at it for a while. If she was getting a penalty I'd imagine it would be pretty high by now.
Of course, all four survivors who were hooked in ten seconds each get the penalty.
I've never known a game like this, so incompetent at dealing with cheaters while at the same time punishing those unfortunate enough to be matched with them. Absolutely ridiculous.
How the server checks don't realise she's moving at light-speed, hooking four people in seconds is beyond me.2 -

To be fair, they almost can't make cheat protection usable anymore.
If they implemented this without a comment there would be a lot of threads saying "was banned unjustifiably". It's worse than most people think.
